Hi all,

In Sai Paranjpe's Chashme Baddoor, there is a scene when Farooque Shaikh
receives his money order and he goes on a shopping spree. He visits a music
store where he enquires about a particular classical singer and a small clip
is played. Does anybody remember it?

TIA,
Rgds Poms

Iirc, he holds a LP by Amjad Ali Khan and you hear the sarod being
played. This is the LP that Lalan Miya threatens to confiscate.

It is probably the only film which has at least 20-odd songs from other
films/albums within it. Heck, it begins with 'ye dhuaaN saa kahaaN se
uThtaa hai' by Mehdi Hassan.

A masterpiece.

Hi Arun

curiosity prompts me to ask which were these 20 songs. there was a
medley (had 8-10 songs) and the mehdi hasan ghazal right at the
beginning. which were the others?
