If this is the same business then, they also sell pyrated(comp wrd :-) music.
This NAQLI audio are labeled as H&R and is sold by Patel Video. Now all
businesses(especially who sell NAQLI) should realise that music companies
from India also have International rights reserved on the banner. One of
this days if any of us is treated bad enough that make him/her go to the
authorities and have the whole business shut down.....

I have noticed this too in my local Patel Brothers store.
Up until last month they carried only original audio tapes but
2 weeks ago they got a bulk of tapes with a label of H & R . I
pointed this out to the owner but he seemed to not care, he
told me these were better than the tapes shipped from India
because these H & R tapes were recorded on Sony brand tapes.
I think the only way these stubborn owners and
distributors will learn is if everyone refused to buy these
pirated copies and demanded originals. Otherwise, just like
their movies, we will never see the word "Original" when we
rent or buy a tape.

HI everyone,

Several weeks ago I posted an article with regard
to a shop in Newark Ave, Jersey City NJ which was selling
used CD's as new CD's. I was really not sure that time but
now I am definitely sure.
What happened to me last time was that I purchased

a CD, Mirza Galib from Patel Video (Newark Ave, Jersey City NJ)

(this shop is close to the White Castle building)
When I opened the shrink wrap I saw scratches on the jewel box
and also on the CD itself. Also the shiny piece of tape across
the opening of the case was broken. I thought of getting another
CD instead of that one but was too far to go back.

Last week when I was in Newark Ave again, I happened to go to the
same shop. I saw another CD that I liked in the shop and when I
looked at it carefully, the printed paper on the back of the
jewel box was a photocopied print of the actual label. The front
of the CD cover was in color but the back side of it was the b/w
photocopied label.
After showing it to the storekeeper, he opened the shrink wrap
and opened the jewel box. The CD was upside down and had scratches on
it. I told the storekeeper that they were selling used CD's as new
and charging the price of new ones. The store keeper admitted that
the back of the CD was photocopied and was not a new CD.

I am not sure if the store is aware of this and doing it purposefully
or they are getting ripped off from where they buy the CD's.
In any case, it is the consumer who finally gets ripped off.

So beware fellow music lovers, you just cannot trust any one now!!!!

yup, i bought some cassettes from a store in jersey city, i don't
remember the name of the shop, but these cassettes were recorded on
the sony blanks that u can purchase anywhere. the cover was a color
photocopy. they charged $1.50/cassette, which probably is less than
the price of the same cassette in india. something is not quite right.
