Hey all:

here's a trivia question...
Does anyone know what movie Sanjeev Kumar last acted in?

Let me give you a hint:
He died in the middle of the movie (No dah..)
So, they had to twist the story out of proportion to finish it.
They added an invisible man character to it who is supposedly
Sanjeev Kumar...

So, which movie was it?

It is "Professor Ki Padosan" starring Sanjeev Kumar, Asha Parekh, Padmini
Kolhapuri, Aruna Irani, Shekhar Suman and Deven Verma.

I remember it so well because i just saw it last week. I guess Mr.India was
not such an original afterall!

Sanjeev Kumar was the first Mr. India.

The last movie of Sanjeev Kumar is "Professor Ki Padosan". It stars all time great
Sanjeev Kumar, Asha Parekh, Padmini Kolhapure, Shekar Suman.

Cheers

P.S. Movie was O.K. in the begining with some funny scenes but later on became a
senseless movie.

The "Waqt" that starred Sunil Dutt, Sadhana (in top billing), with Shashi
Kapoor, Sharmila Tagore, Raaj Kumar, Balraj Sahni, Madan Puri, etc. was
released in either the early of the mid-60's.

Sanjeev, on the other hand, even tho' I'm not sure whether he had a part in
"Waqt" or not, did have a long and illustrious career well into the 1970's
and early 80's. Some of his best movies ("Sholay," "Aandhi," "Mausam,"
etc.) were released in the mid-70's. He even had some releases in the '80's
("Silsila") and I think his last release may have been something with the
word PROFESSOR in it.

"Professor Ki Padosan?"

It is "Love and God" for sure. Before the movie was complete both
the hero, Sanjeev Kumar and the director, K. Asif (of "Pakeezah" fame
and who took ages to complete a movie) died. It was released after
Sanjeev's death and completed by using a duplicate.

A request:

Does anybody remember the lyrics of the following songs.

" Meri duniya lut rahi thi aur mai khamosh tha"
(Mr and Mrs 55)

A Song by Manna Dey with the word "mumtaaz" in it.

Thanks in anticipation.

I think it is "God is Love" or "Love is God" or something on the same lines. I saw it on TV long ago and Sanjeev Kumar did look terrible. Directed by Asif Khan?????

I remember one scene though (I didn't watch the whole movie). The heroine is giving alms from behind a screen and Sanjeev Kumar is on the other side and there is a sad song playing in the background.

Now what is the name of the movie???

I may be worng here, but I thought that "Love and God" was Guru Dutt's last
film which he left incomplete which Sanjeev Kumar completed as his double.

Maybe others out there can confirm or correct this.

as i already said that i might be wrong.
sanjeev kumar's last movie was a murder mystry in which he played the key role
of a murderer. he played a blind man's role in the movie and as far as my (poor)
memory goes, he wasn't able to complete the movie.

i fully agree with you on "Waqt" starring sunil dutt and sadhana. but, you can
hv same name for 2 (or more) movies. :-)

Here is what I remember of this song.

Film: Mr. & Mrs. 55
Lyrics: ??? (Majrooh?)
Music: O.P Nayyar
Sung by: Rafi and chorus

Meri Duniya Lut Rahi Thi Aur Main Khamosh Tha
Tukde-Tukde Dil Ke Chunta (Tukde-Tukde Han, Han or Haan Ji...)
Kisko Itna Hosh Tha...

Aaaa...Aankh Men Aansoo na The, Aur Jal Raha Tha Dil-Jigar
Ro Rahi Thi Hasraten, Chup-Chaap Tha Main Bekhabar
Are Kaise Aata Hosh Men Jo Pehele Hi Be-Hosh Tha...

Aaaa...Yeh Haqeeqat Hai, Ise Samjhe Na Afsana Koi
?????? ?????? ????? ???????? Deevana Koi
Are Yeh Zameen Chup-Chaap Thi Aur Aasmaan Khamosh Tha...

Aaaa...Caarvaan Dil ka Luta Baitha Hoon, Manzil Ke Qarib
Maine Khud Kashti Dubo-Di Jaa Ke Saahil Ke Qarib
Are Kya Main Karta Main Sharaab-e-Ishq Se Madhosh Tha...

Some one please fill in the ???????

Sanjeev Kumar's last movie was titled "Professor Ki Padosan". It was a
comedy which also starred Padmini Kholapure. He died without completing
the picture. It was completed under the premise that he was invisible
upto the end. --- I did see this picture and was extremely disappointed.
It should have been left incomplete.
