I am on the look out for the names of some funny self picturised
Kishore Kumar
numbers. I am planning to get those songs so would appreciate it if you
all would
post your recommendations. Example in my view is "Daal Kaise Gale" from
Baap Re Baap
etc.

Can anyone make a list of the songs picturized on KK in which he yodells
or does a voice modulation? (Example: Suniye Suniye aaj kal ki ladkiyon ka
program"
from "Ladka Ladki"). I am trying to get cassettes of such obscure, but awesome
songs. How are the songs of Bhaagam Bhaag? My dad told me he sang a song which
went "Arrey bhai shaadi math karna..." or something...

Main BaharoNkaa sitaaraa is a line from the song : Paanch rupaiyaa, baraaH
aanaa (From Chalti kaa naam gaaDii)
The song #3.. I'm assuming the poster made a mistake and meant "Ek laDkii
bhiigii bhaagii sii"

did quite a few comedy films!:)
I have tried to compile a list here with the help of my brother who is a

From the Geet Kosh--The lyricist for "kamaataa hun" is Raja Mehdi Ali Khan. The
female singer is Geeta.

I might be wrong, but I thought Funtoosh had Dev Anand. If so then it won't
be self
picturised song. Anyway its funny, all the same. Marvelous list. I wish
somebody
from HMV is reading and come up with a compilation of some sort. Not in

usual style with mutilated songs but complete with any interesting
interludes too.

If I remember right, the above is a Kishore-Geeta Duet. Meena has just the
solo you mention below. I think the song appears twice in the movie (probably
the same version). The other female singer in the movie is Asha, who sings
with a chorus the song 'BA MA PhD, BT BCom BSG'.

In fact HMV has come out with 2 compilations on funny
songs of Kishor Kumar. One cassette was "Comedy songs
of Kishore of Kishore Kumar" featuring 10 songs, mostly
from the 50's. All the 50's songs are mentioned in
Satish-ji's list on this thread except "Qusoor aap ka
zaroor aap ka" from Bahar. I don't know if that was a
self picturized song of KK. Some songs like "Kunve men
kood ke" are cut halfway through.
The other CS was Anmol Ratan #3 having the same songs as
the CD "Fun songs of Kishore Kumar" (the CD had 3 more
songs at the end) and spanning a period of 4 decades.

I included the Funtoosh song just because that's what I have in my tape of KK's
fun songs (compiled by myself), and I forgot that I was to limit my list to
songs picturized on KK himself.
Good eye, Sanjay. :-)
And on the other hand, the Paisa Hi Paisa song I have in the list is not there
in the tape - I haven't heard it in ages now, but loved it when it was
released.
There's another one from Miss Mary - gaana na aaya bajana na aaya, dilbar ko
apna banana na aaya.
