I would appreciate if netters can make additions to this list so that I can see
those movies. Thanks.

And also i did not see "Silsila" in the list.
Monis
Dhool ka Phool (Rajendra Lumar, Mala Sinha, Ashok Kumar)- on a "pre-marital"
affair and child and the trials and tribulations of the heroine)
Waqt (Raj Kumar, Sunil Dutt, Sadhana, Balraj Sahani)- a great entertainer.
Has lot of the "Raj Kumar" dialogoues..yeh bacchon ke khelne ki chhez nahin
hai, haath kat jaye to khoon nikal aata hai..etc..question..was this movie the
start of the present day Raj Kumar style. He used to play soft, romantic roles
in his earlier movies like Dil Ek Mandir and stuff. Waqt is probably the first
true multi starrer, a lost and found story, a formula that the Late Manmohan
Desai mastered and gave us "my favorite entertainer" -Amar Akbar Anthony.
Daag (Rajesh Khanna, Sharmila, Raakhi) again a extra/post marital affair, but
with a difference.
Noorie (Poonam Dhillon, Farookh Sheikh) a love story.
Nakhuda (Khulbushan Kharbanda) This one came on Doordarshan long ago..but
dont remember much of it..should be good viewing since it is a Yash Chopra
movie.
Deewar (Amitabh, Shashi) Yash Chopra's best..and my favorite Bollywood
"Vijay". Every hindi movie fan should watch this one at least 3-4 times.
Trishul (Amitabh, Sanjiv) another great movie. again assuming everyone must
have seen this one.
Kabhi Kabhi (Amit, Shashi, Raakhi etc) A movie about relationships and how they
change. Another movie about a child outside marriage..this time its a girl..
played by Neetu Singh..who sets out to find her roots and in the process
creates havoc with the lives of everyone involved. Its very different from
the Vijay of Trishul who sets out on the vengeance path against Sanjiv Kumar,
who happens to be his father (again a kid before marriage..a very strong and
recurrent theme in Yash Chopra movies).
Kala Pathar (Amitabh, Shotgun, Shashi) Inspired by Joseph Conrads "Lord Jim"
with Amitabh fighting his conscience and guilt. I saw this movie 3 times in
one day and enjoyed it more and more each time.
Mashaal (Dilip, Anil, Rati) The good man turns bad and the bad man becomes
straight and the conflict between the two.
Silsila (Amitabh, Rekha, Jaya, Shashi) No children without wedlock this time
but again a strong storyline dealing with human relationships, priorities
and decisions.
Faasle (Rekha, Sunil Dutt, Farha)..dont remember much of this. Has to do with
relationship between Rekha and Sunil who love each other but never married
(and maybe have a child..Rohan Kapoor or Farah..i am guessing here since its
a common Yash Chopra plot).
Vijay (Anil, Rishi, Meenakshi, Anupam, Rajesh) Warring business families,
watchable movie though nothing special.
Chandni (Sridevi, Vinod Khanna, Rishi Kapoor) Yash Chopra finally got down to
making his dream project. A lot of his movies had a heroine called Chandni
..Rekha in Faasle and Silsila for sure..anybody remembers more? But Sri Devi
it was for the actual "Chandni" and she did do a fabulous job.
Lamhe (Sri Devi, Anil) Rejected by the audiences, a flop at the box office,
but what a movie..has re-repeat value and more (or 3-peat value as bulls fans
would call it).
Parampara (Amir, Saif etc)..wish it was not credited to Yash Chopra. Nothing
wrong with the movie, but nothing worth talking abt)
Darr (Shah Rukh, Juhi, Sunny) Yash Chopra seems to have lost it, aping
hollywood stories and going for the glitter. Wish he would stick to his
forte. Still a movie worth watching..no repeat value for me though.
Any idea whats Yash Chopra working on next..anything with Amitabh would
be so coooool.

I thought the two movies mentioned above were directed by his elder brother,
B.R Chopra. In fact, Yash Chopra used to assist him & his first movie as an
independent director was "Daag".
