that begins
ai maut tu ek kavita hai
kavita ne vada kiya that kabhi...

Does any one have the complete words for this poem and also
who wrote it ?

I think its not RK but big B who recites it. Remember they are
recording each other voices on some very antique looking tape
recorder (i've never seen anything like that in real). Amitabh
recites this poem and asks Rajesh to record something. Then rajesh
records '
Babu moshaay, zindagi aur maut to ooper wale ke haath mein hai,
jahaanpanah................'.
I dont remember the words, but i guess it may have been written
by Gulzar. Seems like his style.

Maut, tu ek kavita hai,
mujhse, is kavita ka vadaa hai, milegi mujhko,.....

Sanjay, they are the "reel" players that AIR and all radio stations and
hi-fi recordings used and still use. The concept behind that is that it
has wide tape, and spins at a faster speed than cassette, thus
allowing MORE tape per unit time, so the samplings can be recorded
"comfortably" I mean they are not crunched for space (trying to put
in simple words) It is something like the LP, EP, SLP speeds of video
recording. The short play gives you 2 hours of recording (because
spinning faster) but the best recording.
