When I decided to direct a film, I wanted to make a film that talks
about feelings, emotions and happenings in a real family...
Most of the Indians working abroad have left loved ones back home in
India and gone to make a new life.... I decided that this would be my
base for the story.
The story is of an Indian family in the US and the relationships and
emotions between husband-wife, mother-daughter and father-daughter.
A story we feel will be identifiable not only with the Indian
families, but with Pakistani, Bangladeshi and Sri Lankan communities,
specially the women.
The film is scheduled for release on the 15th of February, 2002.
This kind of film needs all the support it can get, as the success of
films like this will pave the way for more of its kind. Please forward
this letter to your friends and see the film when released.

P.S.
This is a film that talks about the values and relationships in a
family...
We have actually found that... it is changing the way people are
looking at their relationships at home...makes one realise how we take
each other for granted...
There are quite a few who have come out of the theatre after the
preview screenings and called home and said sorry to their parents and
family members for the way they have been treating them...
The mother should take her teenage kids for this film... should make
her husband take her... should take their older parents for it... will
bring the family closer...
Like the credit line says ...Come Home to Friendship...
The film release in USA and Canada is in association with Remit2India
and India Tribune
