PARDESI (1957) - Na Ja Na Ja Balam from MosFilm's
Color Print re-instated at YouTube

I made a request to MosFilm and they have removed the block

Note: The sound quality of above listed file is quite good and the
print quality, the best what one can hope to see

Hello Sudhir,

Long back you had made this funny post about the T-
Series VCD of Pardesi. (which I subsequently watched at a friend's
place and had to concur about the BHOOT print part)

Recently someone has uploaded a very beautiful print of the complete
song "na dir deem" on youtube. (Presumably obtained from the original
Russian print). Both audio and video quality are superb. Do check it
out if you have not already:

Some other scenes from the film may also have been uploaded by the
same user.

B: August 7, 2012 My Message to MOS Film.

Attn: Head of Copy Right Enforcement

Dear Sirs:

In 1957 MosFilm and an Indian Producer (Naya Sansar) made
a film, titled: PARDESI (in Hindi), which was shot in SovColor. I
don't know it's tile in Russian language. However, lot of info
is listed at IMDB at url:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0050820/

While the Russian language print has been maintained very
well (it seems that the Hindi language songs were kept 'As Is'
in the Russian version), no reasonably good print exists
in India. A VCD version is available, but it was made from a
highly worn-out print and that too in Black and White, instead of
vibrant SovColor.

Someone from your country had uploaded one of the song from
Russian print to YouTube and had a link:

Few months ago, MosFilm asked YouTube to REMOVE this
song.

I and many thousands of music lovers in India will be thankful to
you, if you can let YouTube to list this song at their site. The
film
had excellent music, but the music copyright holder in India
has re-issued only 3 songs from the 78 rpm discs (are different
recordings + are slightly shorter in duration than the soundtrack
versions.

May be you can Convert few other Hindi Songs and List them
on You Tube. I can give you Title and approx. point where they
appear in this film)

Thanks

Thanks for the effort.
