First Hindi Playback song of Lata Mangeshkar

For so many years we believed that "Paa laagu kar jori re" from 'Aapki Sewa mein'-1947 is the FIRST Playback song of Lata M.
ON the 8th of Sep 2012,In the programme aired on Times Now TV at 7 pm,Asha Bhonsle has made a comment that 'Lata gave playback to her in a song of BADI MAA-1945.'
Now the question is what is the truth ?
Which is Lata's FIRST playback song-Aapki sewa mein or Badi Maa ?
Can someone throw light on this please ?
I have found an article on Tripod which states that Badi Maa song is Lata's first PB song.
please enlighten.

maintained.

The song has a chorus also.May be Asha was in the group of 'sakhiyan',for which the chorus including Lata was singing.Asha may be talking about that.

Yes, by all accounts that I have read, Lata provided playback to Asha in this song. I haven't seen the film/song myself. However, the two songs may have been very close in the timing of their recording. One can check the record numbers in Geet Kosh to verify which came first. The other issue could be that the Badi Maa song is not a solo. A similar argument has been made for Mukesh and 'dil jalta hai' from Pehli Nazar, which is considered the first solo playback for Mukesh, although he sang and also provided even playback before that.

I meant to say that Pehli Nazar gained currency as the first playback
by Mukesh, though he had sung songs before "dil jalta hai" including
providing playback.

How is playback singing defined. I gather in earlier days songs were sung live during shooting. Isn't playback singing is recording song separately and lip syncing during shooting?

We are not talking about the technical meaning of Playback.
Playback here means,when the singer and the Lip Syncher on the screen are different persons.

In that case my question is if Lata ever sang live for mvoies. In other words did she sing for herself during shooting?
