Anand will start shooting for a promotional music video for his film,
Bachna Ae Haseeno, today. The video is loosely based on Hum Kisi Se Kam
Nahin's classic song Bachna ae haseeno lo main aa gaya, featuring
Ranbir's father Rishi Kapoor. The title song in the new film was
initially sung by the lead actor Ranbir Kapoor. However, the result
was not satisfactory and the song was later sung by Kishore Kumar's
son Sumeet. Incidentally, the original song was sung by Kishore
Kumar.Siddharth is quite diplomatic about the situation. He says, "We
tried Ranbir's voice for the track. He has a nice voice, but we were
in a hurry to wrap up and so decided not to make the song gimmicky by
taking on Ranbir as the singer.

The title track of Bachna Ae Haseeno includes the voices of the late
Kishore Kumar and his sons Amit and Sumeet
The title track Bachna Ae Haseeno from Yash Raj Films has generated
much interest. It may be recalled that the classic number was
originally filmed on Rishi Kapoor in Hum Kisise Kum Nahin and rendered
by the late Kishore Kumar while this one has been filmed on Rishi's
son Ranbir Kapoor. Interestingly, he new version has been sung by
Kishore's younger son Sumeet Kumar even as the veteran's voice has
been retained. Older son and singer Amit Kumar reveals further, "My
father had sung the whole song but towards the end he developed throat
problems. So I pitched in." Amit, who was not credited then continues,
"So the new version actually has my voice too."
Composer Vishal Dadlani (of the Vishal-Shekhar duo) confirmed this
saying, "All three are heard in the song."
Interestingly, Amit had sung the entire song for the song's Bengali
version. "The Hindi version was recorded first but the Bengali version
was released much earlier. The late RD Burman had recorded both the
songs in 10 days. Of course the Bengali version was not as popular!"
he adds.
