This is truly a magnificent song and
is one of the last great RD Burman-KK
combo. Only Kishore-da could have done
justice to it.
Guitar buffs on rmim would do well
to take a look at this one (i.e. if they
haven't already) for it provides an
excellent opportunity for some imaginative
base-guitar work.
For the singer, the song is deceptively easy
as the collapse from the antaraa back to
the mukhdaa is quite tricky. Can be extremely
"tamaatter-friendly" when your college-Kishore
Kumar loses his "Sa" and falls all over
the keyboard. Can be even funnier when he goes
around for weeks telling people that it was
actually the guitarist's fault for "giving me
the wrong chords":-)
