GEETanjali - sama ye suhana

Well, for a change, I have decided to refrain from old melodies for some
time and "act my age".:) This week I will be posting some new songs.
This ideally "picnic" or "campfire" song is from an obscure movie -
"Goonj". This movie was released in 1990, well that was the year I saw
it. And it was about the political marathi-konkani struggle going on
and movie is set in Goa. Nice movie, IMO. Also it was Juhi Chawla's
first movie (signed), but released later than QSQT. Alright, now about
the RMIM relevance. The MD and singer is Binju Ali. Somehow his
singing stlye reminds me of Remo (Remo ofcourse is much better)
sometimes and Ali Haider at other. For those who haven't heard of Ali
Haider, he is a Pakistani singer, and his album "chahat" about
three-four years ago was a big hit. The songs I remember (Ali Haider's)
off hand are "chahat teri mujhe chahiye", "purani jeans aur guitar",
"shaam dhal rahi hai". Binju Ali is a small time singer and I don't
remember any of his other songs off hand.
Back to this song, I am writing it from memory, its been a long time
since I heard it so I might be off in some lines. Corrections are very
welcome. There might be additional stanzas too.
Enjoy folks, "new age" music has its own charm.

That should be first 'comeback' movie, right? Juhi Chawla was
introduced in Arjun Hingorani's 'Sultanat' along with Karan Kapoor.
The film also starred Sunny Deol, Sridevi and Dharmendra, and was
directed by Mukul Anand. It was a mega-flop, and Juhi faded into
oblivion. She acted in a few south Indian films (was renamed 'Julie'
there, I think), and then made a comeback with QSQT and Goonj.

I am making corrections as substitutions, just replacing the

This song, as I remember it, should be a duet. I think it is so because
it was performed several times in IITD in music shows, and everytime it
was sung as a duet.

^^^^^^
should be "koi kisii kaa diiwaana ...", like Hema wrote. The first
paragraph is fine though.
