Dear RMIMers,
Last week I posted some of the Best songs by Laxmikant Pyarelal. Hope that
must have brought back the sweet memories of the Musical Past.
This week I am Posting Best songs By OPNayyar here. NoBody can say
that he was copying someone else, may be he was copying himself too much. So
many songs from OPN sounds to have a similar tune and bits and ritham? Well,
not going into technical stuff, all I can say that He has given the Best of
Asha Bhosle Songs, some of them are too much to say anything about the song,
just have to listen to them.( Oh, you would like to compare some Lata's
Beauty songs with them? How dare You? Dont You know All those Lata Fans?)
And what about Mohd.Rafi? When I was too young to Understand it was
Rafi or KK or Mukesh I started with his Taarif Karun Kya uski(Kashmir Ki
Kali). So best of Rafi comes from not Only SJ, MadanMohan, Naushad, But from
OPN too! One who loves Rafi, cannot just ignore OPN. Chek the List I am
Posting at the Bottom about Rafi songs(BY OPN), and See how many of them are
your favorites.
I do not know what to say about Geeta Dutt/OPN songs, they are simply
beautiful and Jewels of any Song Collection. Her songs sung by anyone in a
musical night/college talent show, remained scene stealers as far as I know.
Even today they are very sweet to listen to. ( So how good will be the
original ones?)

It is most probably a typo on the part of the original poster. This song is
a duet by Asha and Mukesh. Asha/Mukesh/OPN is a rare combo in general though,
and it is a nice song. Hence it is worth having. This song is in a 2 cassette
set of Asha/Mukesh duets in the Rare Gems series. An overall decent selection
of songs (mainly in the first cassette of the two).

SomeOne e-mailed me about RAGINI film by OPN but I do not have any songs
details for the movie, can someone post/e-mail the songs? Also I am not very
sure of which song in JALI NOTE has Asha or Geeta. Can some one Confirm? I
just listened to the songs and it was hard to figure out which one is which.
It is a DevAnand Madhubala Starer with Helen. All Helen songs sounded like
Asha and All Madhubala songs Sounded like Geeta Dutt.There were no credits
for the Lyrics too.

Then you REALLY REALLY REALLY must call Dr. Parrikar who has Raagini soundtrack
with all these songs. BTW this movie did have KK in the lead role. There were
two female actresses, I only recall their faces.
