In article <4b89d98b$0$5001$607e...@cv.net>, Abhay Jain says...

In the Popular Awards category:

Best Supporting Actor (Female): Kalki Koechlin for Dev. D

In the Critics Choice Awards category:

Best Actor (Female): Mahi Gill, Dev D
Mahie Gill won the Best Actress Award (Critics) for her debut film Dev D

Kalki accepted her award graciously. It would be interesting to see what
Vyjayantimala has to say about this.

What I liked the most about both the women was the way their characters have
been written. These aren't your weepy women in the mold of Suchitra/Aishwarya or
Vyjayantimala/Madhuri. Not only do they not take crap from Dev, instead they
don't shy away from giving crap to him.

Your information is correct but incomplete.
All of Jaidev's songs were composed by SDB. All of SDB's songs were
composed by RDB. So now, who composed all of RDB's songs? Perhaps,
merely one name won't suffice. There is a long list of people (many of
them of non-Indian origin) who should be credited. You see RDB's music
crossed all possible boundaries. No wonder he is hailed as the
LoRD! :-)

That's incomplete. Going by RMIM allegations, most of SDB songs were
composed by one of N. Dutta, Jaidev, RDB, Meera Dev Burman and Suhrid
Kar. The rest were inspired by Rabindra Sangeet.

Similarly, most of Naushad songs were composed by one of D.N. Madhok,
Ghulam Mohd and Md. Shafi. The rest were copied from tranditional
classical bandishes ;)
