Just had the opportunity to watch the most moronic, inane Hindi
movie in recent times. This is the last time I will see any
Hindi movie that is hyped up to raise audience expectations.
Even otherwise, AAA fails to deliver. It is aimed at people
with a very low IQ, and kids under 3 might laugh at Aamir
and Salman's attempt at Slapstick. Raveena is absolutely
wasted in this mess as is Paresh Rawal. Shakti Kapoor
makes things worse as some crime king GOGO in what must rank
as the worst Hindi comedy of all time. Junta at Naaz, where
I saw it were laughing their rockers off, and I could only feel
sorry for the crowd. See it if your IQ is in single digit,
or you are cursed to, or your lifelong ambition is to spend
6-7$ on a movie, that parades as "Indias best comedy of all time".
I walked out as the climax began at Shakti Kapoor's Adda.
Get yourself checked if you liked the movie.

I liked it, and I don't feel a pressing need to get myself checked I'm
afraid. I think I am still a fully functional human being who spent an
anjoyable evening at Naaz Cinema :) watching a very entertaining film.
I am sorry if you didn't appreciate the humour.
Perhaps you prefer movies like Mohra?? I wouldn't be half surprised. I
personally think Mohra is the worst most inane movie I have ever seen,
incidentally :)

Bzzt! The stuff which needs to be banned if anything does, is films
like Mohra. It is them which insult peoples intelligence. AAA simply
repsects and facilitates peoples right to an evening of fun. Mohra
does not an ounce of good for anyone.
[I use Mohra sinply as an example in the above. Several other films
could have taken it's place]

You are one bright kid. You are right, you should not watch any
more hindi movies. That will give you more time for your study
and writing about human intelligence.
Folks, the rest of you must see this movie. It is simply hilarious.
The movie is a spoof of dozens of hindi movie situations and
characters. It spoofs ,
identical twins,
switched identities,
memory loss by falling,
ghoda-gaadi music,
heroes fighting and then becoming friends,
TV serials,
villans etc. etc. ...
The villian immitating ajit was just great - Robert, timebomb, hera,
"humare plan ke mutabik .." , "Follow me"
are all there. The only person missing was "mona darling".
I was laughing so hard at the spoof on OP Nayyar's tune and the
accompanying style of singing that I missed most of the song.
Sure, the movie could have used tighter editing and eliminated
a few roles (shakti kapoor, Jagdeep) but it was a fine movie.
It will be interesting to see if the genral junta in india
accepts this type of comedy.

Not a hope in hell! I thought it was brilliant, and so did the other
few hundred people in the theatre alongside me form what I could make
out. Perhaps the sound effects were a bit over the top in one or two
places, and the editing left much to be desired, but it was hilarious.
Not to mention that Juhi looked good in her guest appearance :-)
But does anyone know why two songs [Jane tune jana nahin, and Shola
shola tu badke] were not persent in the movie??

I am for real, and I really hated this "Hilarious Spoof".
For one, there was no spoof any genre in this movie,
and even if what you mentioned was supposed to be a spoof,
it fell flat. The jokes were shallow, and so was the
characterisation. The editing and direction was shoddy
in many places. The "Ajit" imitation evoked a few
laughs, but thats about it. Salman Khan did not have
a clue as to why he was in the picture. Aamir desperately
tried to save a dying movie, but failed. It gave me the
impression, that they did not know what to do with
all the footage, and hastily put together everything,
cos it has been years since they started making the movie,
and they better release it before Aamir/Salman/Raveena/Karishma
put on weight/lose hair/whatever, so that they could pass ot
off as a "recent" film.
Come on, did you really laugh for the "Poison glass changing" and
the "time bomb backfire" *JOKES* ? Did you laugh at Shakti Kapoor
and his antics as GOGO. Did you laugh at Devan Verma and Jagdeep,
both of whom are senile ? Did you. I am sorry if you did, but
I recommend that the netters, see some old Hindi comedy
movie instead of this. I am _NOT_ against Hindi movies ,
dont get me wrong, but encouraging such movies, will only
lead to more sub standard movies being made by talented guys like
Raj Kumar Santoshi and like. I am sure that he is capable of
much better stuff (as evidenced in Ghayal and Damini), but this
venture of his really disappoints.
Aamir has a great flair for comedy, but this was not the
right vehicle for him. Salmaan, the less said about him,
the better. I recommed junta to watch some timeless classic
such as "Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi" or "Gol Maal" or "Jaane Bhi
Do yaaren" or any of Amitabh's movies, which has him doing
comedy. Half an hour of Amitabh's comic antics far surpasses
this three hour piece of pretentiou crap.
The reason I am criticising this movie and not any other
usual Hindi movie like ,say some "Kader Shakti" comedy movie
is that this was hyped up to be the *most hilarious
Hindi movie ever* (Read the tabloids/press), and this was
an unnecessary advertisement (not) for this movie. Please
dont serve sub standard stuff in the guise of genuine
hilarity. If you want to know what level of comedy
I personally appreciate, see "Duck Soup" (which according
to me is the funniest film ever made in English) or
"Micahel Madan Kama Rajan" in Tamil or "Gol Maal"
in Hindi. This one nowhere comes near any of the above
mentioned movies. So Please wake up and dont be influenced
by the media and the encomiums that this movie is getting.
And finally if you want to know what a spoof is see
any of the "Hot Shots" or "Naked Gun" flicks.
