Strongly disagree!
The music is pretty baaaad!
And the way Sudesh Bhosle tried to shamelessly copy RDB was bad. The way
that he fails is simply criminal. Anybody accepting suparees on the net?
Hey if Shahrukh can get on the net ( :) ;) ) so can a hitman, right? IF
so, please contact me for I would like to put a bounty on SudeshB's
head. And other RDB fans might want to add their own bit for the bounty!
Also, imHo, Rangeela is way too good than this!
Later,
Ikram.
: Audio Review
: Subhash Ghai's TRIMURTI *Jackie Shroff, Anil kapoor, Shahrukh khan
: Dir: Mukal S. Anand Gautami, Anjali Jathar, Mohan Agashe
: Music: Laxmikant Pyarelal Lyrics: Anand Bakshi Tips Cassettes
: Laxmikant-Pyarelal have come back with a block-buster musical score in 70mm
: sound that will blow you away. This is what the advertisements say and the
: music of TRIMURTI lives up to its hype. Laxmikant-Pyarelal have always given
: Subhash Ghai good music since he actively participates in deciding what tunes
: he wants and provides details on how the song will be picturized.
: The first song 'very good, very bad' (Udit Narayan, Vinod Rathod)
: is a catchy number along the lines of 'My name is Lakhan' and 'Ilu Ilu'.
: The best number 'Bol Bol Bol tujhe kya ho gaya' (Ila Arun, Udit Narayan, Sudesh
: Bhosle) has already become a hit over-night. Sudesh Bhosle is in fine form as
: he sings in a R.D. Burman style.
: 'Mujhe pyar karo' (Vinod Rathod, Alka Yagnik, Manhar Udhas) has nice music.
: 'E-ri-sakhi' (Kavita Krishnamurthy) and 'Sadiyan saal' (Alka Yagnik, Udit N)
: are nice melodious numbers.
: 'Mata mata' (Vinod Rathod, Alka Yagnik) is ok.
: There are two instrumental versions; 'very good, very bad' & 'mujhe pyar karo'.
: Laxmikant-Pyarelal's use of their orchestral instrumentation in their songs
: have always been their strong points and the music arrangements throughout
: the songs are good. This is definetly one of the better film albums this
: year. Like RANGEELA, it sounds average at a first hearing but the music
: grows on you.

I never thought Laxmi Pyare could deliver in the 90's!
They are what we call a spent force in Bollywood.
They ruined scores for some of the biggest movies like
Prem and Roop Ki Rani Choron ka Raja, so I was not
even expecting anything from Trimurti. Even the songs
of Khalnayak are forgettable at best. Atleast I don't
feel like humming them. Granted they gave some really
hit music, but I was never fascinated by their tunes.
If anyone in Bollywood wants a flop, just invite
them to compose music and there it goes! These days,
just like in the 60's the success of a film is
also dependent to a large extent on the quality of the
songs. Rangeela, Bombay, Hum Aapke Hain Kaun, 1942 A Love Story
are some of the examples...
-Hemant ( RD's music is still as fresh as ever)

I totally agree with you...if you listen carefully, toward the end of the song you can hear Sudesh Bhosle tiring out or losing his b=
reath. His real voice comes out instead of his RDB imitation. Ha Ha!
BTW, at first I didn't like ANY song from Trimurti, but the song "Very good, Very bad" has grown on me.

Laxmikant-Pyarelal did not ruin the score for PREM, the album
was on the top 10 charts for many months.
If LP are a spent force in the 90's, how come hit films had chart toppers
such as KHAL-NAYAK, KHUDA GAWAH, SAUDAGAR, HUM, etc.

Laxmikant-Pyarelal have been consistently given hit music for over
30 years, and their tunes are not recycled like Anand-Milind, or Nadeem-
Shravan. The music in KSHATRIYA, KHUDA GAWAH, and HUM is totally different
in the use of musical instrumentation. HUM AAPKE HAIN KOUN had the same tunes
in almost every song and RANGEELA had tunes borrowed from A.R. Rahman's earlier
music.

Did you hear the same soundtrack that I did? "Trimurti" is one of
the biggest disappointments of the year!!! No wonder Subbash Ghai signed
A.R. Rahman for his next movie, 'Shikar'. Trimurti is a good example of
how low L-P have gone. Subbash Ghai has always extracted the most from
L-P, but this time, there is nothing left to extract. To all: Buy the
tape if you must, but don't buy the CD!!!

The Ttrimurti songs are terrible!!!!! Now I know why Subash Ghai chose
A.R.Rehman for his next movie SHIKAR.
