Are u nuts? kya aap akhrot hain? What the hell does "western-corrupted"
mean? And did you just walk out of the stone age? How does posing for a
picture (and scanning it) stigmatize anyone? I suppose you are against
drivers licences and passports too. Grow a brain.

The kind of GIFs I am talking about is like the Nude Pooja Bhatt ones which were posted on
newsnet a few months ago. By "western-corrupted", I mean Indians who are ignorant of and
criticize the Indian culture, eg not talking in their mother-tongue, even at home.

India has had a very rich cultural past in which sex and nudity (as an art
form) has been celebrated. The temples at Konark and Khajuraho, the texts
such as KamaSutra are the living examples of this.

Unfortunately, 500 years of Muslim and subsequent 200 years of Victorian rule
have made us believe that sex or Nudity is always vulgar.

Khajuraho and Konark were far away or hidden from conquerors so they survived,
thankfully. Or else people like you would have had a field day.

I have seen the Puja Bhatt pic and it is NOT vulgar.

That's one aim of nudity. However that has nothing to do with things being
vulgar.

No way, If you look at prominent artists, both western and Indian, including
ancient indian, you will see a lot of nudity there, which is all much
respected.

). If you don't consider nudity vulgar but an art, would you like> (I don't

Once again it is an ART. If x person is modelling for an artist, by his/her
own choice, I have no role to play.

I would like to make an important point here. Both in earlier times and these
days, people have CHOSEN to be in the arts/theatre etc. Not everyone does it.
But those who do, have their statues built or photos taken. Then it comes
under public domain. I do not say that nudity should be practised by all and
sundry but that those who CHOOSE to display themselves, get displayed.

I hope you appreciate the fine difference.

That's what I am trying to say! That's probably the best example to support what
I am trying to say here.
How many girls out there support such sort of rubbish (Puja posing nude).
thats the sort of western values creeping in our culture I am talking
about. If you girls out there are so supportive of westernisation, then
you shouldn't find such things as being unacceptable.
Even (being a male) I do not find this sort of thing acceptable
to be part of my culture.

Without wishing to get involved in the discussion about 'babe'ism, I would like to point out that GIF is a format - no more. You can save any image as a GIF file, so such a file need not be of the kind that you seem to object to. Anyway, I thought this group was about music.
