SHOLAY (Special Edition) aka: Extended Director's Cut, Duration 204
minutes, 4:3 Aspect Ratio. DVD Released by Eros / B4U, England
======================================================================

In last 10+ years, VCD / DVD of this film was released by

Ultra, Moser and Pen

all of them have used the 70 mm print, which in turn was made from
the 35 mm negative. My using a mask - blocking image at top
and bottom, the image on 70 mm print was changed to CinemaScope
type aspect ratio (2.35:1 for Cinemas and 1.85:1 for DVD/VCD

One can read some details on 2 web-pages

http://satyamshot.wordpress.com/2009/10/12/the-sholay-dvd-everyone-should-buy/

and

http://bkpc.blogspot.in/2011/01/sholay-special-edition-dvd-of-alternate.html

EROS / B4U label had released a DVD, made from 35 mm print (4:3 aspect
ratio) plus had replaced the climax scene with original version, where
Thakur had turned Gabbar Singh in to 'Murabba". This version is 204
minutes long.

Q: Does anyone knows and Indian web-site, where this version DVD
can be purchased or

There is a Web-site, where one can download an FLV file

Thanks

IS StageVU.com a Reliable site ?
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

At the above web-site, the 'Sought After' version
of SHOLAY is listed for download

- Duration: 204:27 minutes (from a DVD)

- Video: 640 x 448 = 1.48 Ratio

Can some memeber please let me know, if StageVU is
a SAFE site (i.e. not Virus Infected) and

If indeed this print is the 'AS WAS" 4x3 frame of
35 mm print ?

Thanks

I just recalled a song, whose Title Lines describe
my stand-still situation:

- 'Thokha Khayegi Na Yaaron Ki Nazar' >> Addressed to StageVU

- 'Lakh Chhupo Tum, Dhoond Hi Leenge Hum
Tum Ko Dilbar' >> Sholay's 4x3 Aspect Ratio Video

- 'Baaboo Saab' >>> Let's wait and see, who has the answer
