I am looking for the bhajan (spiritual devotional songs) "Mera tera
tera mera Prabhu ki Maya , Is se kaun Bach paya" which I beleive is
under HMV copyrights and is sung by Pandit Gopal Sharma and another
gentleman whose name I cant recollect now. If anyone has any
information - how to buy from HMV, any cassette serial number local
bangalore folks have not been able to help so far. Any source of info
on the singers and when was this masterpiece originally recorded would
be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks in advance
Gopal

this bhajan is available on volume 2 of the 5 set Millenium devotional CDs

tera mera tera Mera - Pt. Sukhdev Sharma and Pt. gopal sharma ( the Sharma
Brothers )
Music : Murli Manohar Swarup
Lyrics : Pt . Ramanand Sharma

the composer ( if he's a real person) seems to have composed a lot of the music
in this particular volume.

Best wishes

Mera tera tera mera is sung by the Sharma Bandhu -- Gopal Sharma,
Shukdev Sharma, Raghavendra Sharma, and Kaushalendra Sharma. They are
the same artists who sang for Jaidev in the movie "Parinay". Their
father ( I think) Ramanand Sharma wrote the lyrics and I think gave
the music. If it was not him then it were the brothers themselves. I
do'nt think Murli Manohar Swaroop did these. And yes.. MMS does exist.
He was the composer who launched Hari om Sharan, did the music for
Mukesh and Manna Dey's recordings of Tulsi Ramayana; he also did the
music for Vani Jairam's first ghazal album called "Parwaz" and did
non-film songs for Mukesh as well as composing for Begum Akhtar. He
was hired as an in-house composer for HMV... I have a lot of his music
at home and would love to know more about his backgrond.

I remember seeing ths song on a compliation of Bhajans from a long
playing record called "Bhajan Sangrah". It included songs by K.L
Saigal, Lakshmi Shankar, Hari OM Sharan, Manna Dey, Mukesh, and D.v.
Paluskar. If, however, are looking for it on the web, try
Musicindiaonline. Click on the Bhajans section, go to the Hindi
section and click on the Assorted ARtists (or something like that) The
song is there... They are listed as Shukdev Sharma and Gopat Sharma
which is a spelling error.

Its a lovely song... I remember hearing about twenty years or so when
I was aroun 13. It hasn't managed to lose its charm.
