Harsu - Need meaning of this word
=========================

Can someone please give the meaning of this word. I have heard it in
few songs, e.g.:

Chale pawan Harsu (Kanan Devi)

Hamen Kya Jo Harsu Ujale Huwe Hain / Rafi

is in one of the paras: Yeh Duniya x 2 / Rafi + / Yahudi

Thanks

suu = taraf

example:-

har_suu :- har taraf
chaar_suu :- chaaro taraf
suu e daar :- daar ki taraf

for example

maqaam Faiz koii raah me jaNchaaa hii nahiin
jo kuu e yaar se nikale to suu e daar chale

I don't know if suu is used alone or it needs another word too,

Comments welcome

best regards

Your question has already been answered...
here are a few more examples:

"chaahat kaa hai har-suu asar"
...Lata - teraa meraa pyaar amar (Asli Naqli)
"Dhuu.Ndhatii hai.n tujhe har suu merii pyaasii aa.Nkhen"
...Talat, Suman - ek dil do hai.n talab_gaar (Darwaza)
"tere jalave ab mujhe har suu nazar aane lage"
... Lata ghazal - tere jalave mujhe har suu (Sajda)
"Kushabuu kii tarah phailaa thaa mere chaar suu"
... Ghulam Ali ghazal - na u.Daa yuu.N Thokaro.n se
"nazaaraa vo har suu hai mitavaa"
... Lata, SPB - ye mausam kaa jaaduu hai mitavaa (HAHK)
"koii na ho har suu u.Datii ho Kushabuu"
... Manna De, Asha - ai kaash chalate mil ke (Manzil)
"har suu hai a.Ndheraa, phir kaun hai teraa"
... Asha - gaa mere man gaa (Lajwanti)

And all of these are examples from the ISB which continues to be a surprising
resource for all kinds of info. For example,
http://homepages.mac.com\itrans\ASCII\1686.isb
the entry for the Sajda ghazal also has the line "harasuu = everywhere" as part
of the short glossary at the end of the file.
