Couldn't get the original posting, but since I'm
a rocket scientist, I figured that it was about
sili sili of "Yara sili sili".
I attended a program by Hridaynath in DC area where
I think he said that it's Rajasthani and it means
"bhigi bhigi" (wet wet).

Dude !!! .... either you or Pt. Hridaynath Mangeshkar is chepofying .. !!
[it may be easy for you to chepofy under HM's name although :)] ok ok !
peace!! ....

there is nothing rajasthaani in this word "seeli" .. ... its a derivative of
hindi word ..seelan .. which simnply means "moist" ... and is used very often
in context of walls etc., "deewar mein seelan aa gayi hai ..." ... :))

In Marwadi seeli does not mean 'Dheere dheere'.But it does mean getting wet. For example, kapada seella hogya!!And this word in different shades used over large part of North India.
