Roshan-Sahir Qawwalis

I have read on this NG that there is no lyricist like Sahir when it
comes to Qawwalis. Well, the way I see it, Roshan has an equal hand
in creating this reputation. Honestly, Sahir's qawwalis in Phir subah
hogi (jo bore kare yaar ko) and Kabhi Kabhi (tere shiishe jaisa rang)
with Khayyam fall rather flat, especially compared to the towering
Qawwalis of Barsat ki Raat.
I give here three qawwalis by the Roshan-Sahir duo from the films
Barsaat ki Raat and Tajmahal. While I can provide Sahir's lyrics
in this post, I recommend you get yourself this combination CD to
get the best of Roshan's work in this respect.
A word about the lyrics. They are not in ITRANS format. Hope it
still makes sense to most RMIMers. Qawwalis are usually adorned
with a lot of backing and forthing of the lyrics. I present here
the unadorned lyrics. Also, I do not provide info of who sings
which lines in the song. Finally, I could not catch a few words which
are represented by ??? signs. Nettors are welcome to fill in these
blanks and respond to this post in any way they choose.
I will try and post a non-Sahir Qawwali next so that some informed
opinion can be formed on the relative merits or demerits of Sahir
as a Qawwali lyricist.

Roshan was undoubtedly the king of quawwalis among MDs.

But neither of them is a full-fledged quawwali, esp. the latter. Its quite
possible that HMV has used the Kabhi Kabhi song in their quawwali collection,
but then one only ought to see their GHazal collection to know how wrong they
can be.
Sahir *does* have wonderful quawwalis with other MDs, notable among them being
N. Dutta. The quawwalis of Dhool ka Phool/Dharamputra are wonderful. I only
wish he had used Rafi instead of mKaps in all of them. Then there's that
wonderful quawwali "Aaj kyun humse parda hai..." from Sadhna. This is yet
another eg. of 2 singers being used on the same actor in the same song. Even
as late as the 70s, one can find a decent (esp for that time) quawwali by RDB
in The Burning Train "Pal do pal ka saath humara..." which was penned by
Sahir.
I don't know if there is an eg. of the other pehlu of this claim reg.
Roshan/Sahir. Did Roshan compose any quawwali which was not penned by Sahir ?
BkiRaat, Bahu Begum, Taj Mahal and Dil hi to Hai are all excellent
Roshan/Sahir combos.

This is "naaseha" = naseehat karnewaala. Naseehat follows in the next few
lines. Wonderful kalaam!

This shud be "Sab sakhiyaan chali pi ko rijhaane". Rijhaana can be loosely
translated to "to attract"

This should be "Hooren milti hain kise". Hoor = apsara (not exactly though)
Hoors are in jannat which is referred to in the next line.

IIRC, there is no Meena Kapoor in this qawwali. Could someone confirm?
