Lata got some award for Mayi Ni Mayi Munder Pe Tere a solo in Hum Aapke
Hain Kaun.
As for the laughter Lata has always laughed as such in songs that required
and Pyara Sa Gaon is no exception.
I get the impression that you are a Rehman fan.
I would say that as much as the song Pyara Sa Gaon is a sweet melody it
certainly is not the best composition and I mean
blame it to lyrics or whatever. But So Gaye Hain is a topnotch song superbly
rendered by Lata, yet I would not select in
my all time favourite list. There are songs that are really very good but
they cannot be put into the cream of the crop list.
One such song is Jaore Re Jogi Tum Jawo Re Yeh Hai Premino Ki Nagri , Yahan
Prem Hi Hai Puja from Amrapali.
PS. Jo Humne Daastan Apni Sunayi is from Woh Kaun Thi.
One song I like is her song Na Baba Na Baba Pichwade Buddha Khansta from
Anita or Main Dekhun Jis Aur Sakhi Ri Saamne Mere
Saanwariya. There is a song that was sung solo by Lata and Kishore Khilte
Hain Gul Yahan Khilke Bichad Ne Ko which is a nice
song but one that whenever I hear I feel that the music director should have
kept a little speed in their rendition.

I like both the songs very much. Lyrics are also quite good.

I always get confused between Chitralekha and Amrapaali, So I can say
that all the Lata songs of these two films were superb.

Chitralekha:
- ae ri jaane na doo.ngi
- Sa.nsaar se bhaage phirte ho

Amrapaali
- Tumhe yaad karte karte
- Neel gagan ki chhhao.n mein
- jao re jogi tum jaao re
-

not able to recall more, off hand, not to undermine, rafi's man re tu
kaahe na dheer dhare.

Definitely good, but "Megha chhaaye aadhi raat" steals the show.
