surgery and postmortem on it.. unfortunately I couldn't save it...

I think there was another good song in the movie, a duet
where there is some "rooThna~manaana". Filmed literally
around a tree. The song itself used to be shown on TV.
It is news to me that an audio cassette of the songs was
released. Reportedly, about 14 reels were shot before the
film was shelved for good.

Mr Kalra is not asking you to learn iTrans on his own accord.

ISB is asking you to learn itrans. Technically, isb is iTrans
Song Book, though many think it is Indian Song Book.

Like any language, speaker and listener both must know the
language only then communication is possible. A system has been
devised for representing hindi alphabets using english letters,
and that is itrans.

If you right things like "zuke zuke", only those persons who are
well versed with hindi will be able to know what you had
written. To make its understanding objective, it is necessary
that you write what others are trained to read correctly.

For that matter, with the arrival of unicode, itrans is not all
that required because you can even easily write hindi/ devnagari
and people can read that easily. But, there are several people
who can't read hindi alphabets, but everybody can read english
alphabets.

-----------
As far as your learning marathi and hindi is concerned, I doubt
that you ever really learned it. You must have been a kid in
some hindi/ marathi speaking surroundings, and you picked the
languages without really learning it. No?

You have obviously not learned English or Hindi. I don't have
enough knowledge of Marathi to say whether you have learned
it or not, but let me assure you that "iTrans" isn't a language you
can learn. Figuring out why is left as an exercise to the reader.
