Alright !! So , i got all the categories except for the
best actress award right.

Ya! i think juhi deserved for what she did in the movie, actually
she carried the whole movie on her shoulders ofcourse with the help
of those kids around. It really is a nice movie.

And i specifically, like this movie coz this was the first movie
after nearly 2 yrs that i watched on Big screen when i went for a
visit back home during past summer! It was such a joy watching a
Hindi movie in a theatre . And it was nice that movie turned out to
be a real treat!!

Well, anyways , back to the filmfare award topic , i think the awards
have been appropriately given. Do all think the same or some of u
wanted some other(s) to win ??

BTW, i saw DARR this past weekend and thot that the song jaadu teri
nazar was excellent and wonderfully sung by UN.
As far as the movie is concerned a lot has been already said on the net
and the less talked about it the better. An utter disappointment from
Yash Chopra.

Monish.

Well, well. That certainly tells us a lot about your tastes in films!

No one is denying the movie was cute. But look at the other actresses
nominated. Dimple (who already won a National award) for Rudalli;
Meenakshi in her stunning performance in "Damini"; Madhuri and all her
wiggling charms in "Khal Nayak" were all head and shoulders above Juhi's
childlike performance in "Hum Hain Rahi...". Now, if we were talking about
her role in the film "Aaina" that would be a different story.

Well, since you asked....

Best Actor: I can see how Shah Rukh won the award, but Sunjay Dutt in the
film "khal nayak" made a better villain. (Shah rukh in Baazigar
was made too much a monster to have any empathy for him; I
would have given him the best villain award instead!)

IMHO, the judges for the FILMFARE AWARDS are tight-assed hypocrites who
don't know which side is up even if there was a neon sign pointing in the
general direction! It was okay to give "Choli ke peechay" not as best song
but rather best female singer (alka yagnik); but it would have been
politically incorrect to give Sunjay the award for best actor. Gee, the
nation's hang-up with being morally-correct disappeared in a hurry!

P.S. Have you heard that the censors are having a bad time with a song
from the film "dulaara" in which the word "sexy" is used? So, they are
trying to change the word "sexy" with "Fancy"!!!! And after all that, it
is perfectly admissable for Karishma Kapoor in "Raja Babu" to use the
word "f.u." in a song! Will this hypocrisy ever end?

Isn't this what acting is about ?? I think he deserves the award. Sanjay
Dutt in Khalnayak looked 'too easy' as a villain. He did a poor job of
convincing audience that he's supposed to be a villain...

you mean "were" having a hard time, coz DULAARA has been out for a while,
and the word "sexy" is very much intact in that song :)
