interview where these questions were asked and Kishore wrote the
answers by hand ( I have this hand-written interview )

Madhubala, as if it was a true incident !! :D )

Ruma getting the role in the movie ?
A : Raagrang. Ruma started acting because they ( along with Kishore )
were not financially strong. Ashok Kumar kept a condition that he will
act in the film, only if Ruma gets a role. By the time Raagrang was
completed and released, Kishore was somewhat established after signing
some films.
11) From whom did Ruma learn dance and which kind of dance and where
was the place ? in which year did she finish her dance training ? and
who agve her the first break in films ?
A : Ruma learnt "Manipuri Katthakali" under the guidance of Dance
Master "Udayshankar" which was in "Almora". She finished her training
in 1944. Then Devikarani gave her a break in "Jwar Bhata" after getting
impressed with her dance skills
12) What was the profession of Ruma's mother ?
A : Ruma's mother, Seeta Devi, was a music teacher in Umashankar's
academy. Also she worked as an actress for some time, in Prithvi
Theatres

A : Danny Kaye - Kishore's inspiration also died in this year. Surendra
(Singer), Dhumal (Comedian) both dies in 1987. Kishore being a mixture
of both, was the third victim. Art film/Drama actor Arvind Deshpande
also died the same year ( No - there was no quiz in a quiz !!! I just
wanted to know how many great people passed away last year )
