RMIM ke bhaio aur baheno,

This is #10 of a series based on the famous Vividh Bharathi radio program
"Chhaya Geet" in which songs based on a particular theme are played. Chhaya
Geet is usually posted on Wednesdays on RMIM.

This series serves to corroborate the "Naushad fan postulate" which states
that for every REAL life situation, there exists atleast one REAL song which
can be sung in your IMAGINARY world ! :-) This series is also a small tribute
to my favourite Vividh Bharathi announcer and Chhaya Geet hostess Kanta Gupta.

CHHAYA GEET #10

TODAY'S SITUATION/THEME: One of my friends is going to India this weekend to
meet his janeman. He asked me to suggest a few songs which he cud sing after
meeting her. I recommended a few, and then added some more to compile t'day's
cGeet. So, the theme is the songs which u may sing when u meet ur beloved
after a long time and a long journey.
Hope u'll enjoy it.

Sami Mohammed (A Naushad fan)..... who is planning to start a "song-rental"
agency :-)

Its not as if I am a big fan of Shabbir Kumar (too flat
a voice IMO) but the guy has sung a few great songs, this
being one of them. (Could any of the gurus here post the
lyrics for this song?) Another that springs to the mind
is

I agree that sKumar has *some* good songs to his credit. All the songs
in Betaab were good. However, the above song from Sohni Mahiwaal may
be by Anwar and not sKumar. Another good sKumar song is "Yaad teri aaegi.."

This song is from "Aan Milo Sajna".

It starts "Falak se tod ke dekho sitare"

mebbe after your friend serenades these songs to his beloved , she can
sing this song for him..
