Movie Info needed

Hi folks,

I was listening to some songs from "Ek Dujhe ke Liye" today - good songs.
I wanted to find out who the director, producer, MD etc are for this movie.
Also, maybe a list of other good mentionable movies from the people above.

I believe the producer is the renowned film maker, L.V. Prasad, the Southern
equivalent of the late Tarachand Barjatya of Rajshri Pictures in Bollywood.
(It is interesting to note that both men pursued family-oriented subjects,
which was the main reason for their movies becoming so hugely popular with
the masses.)
I'm not sure, but I think he may also have directed it. The MDs are L-P,
if memory serves me right.
RMIM filmi gurus, please corroborate or correct this info.

I can't recall any names right now, but I know for sure that
many good (Hindi) movies (esp. in the 50s, 60s and 70s) bear the LVP
stamp of quality.

Yes L.V. Prasad produced a lot of good movies. Including this
one I guess. Unfortunately he is no more. He passed away last month.

L.V.Prasad had the distinction of starring in the first ever movies
(talkies) of the Hindi, Tamil and Telugu film industry.

"Ek Dujhe Ke Liye" was however directed by K.Balachander, his first
and only Hindi film I believe. He is well known down south in Tamil
films. This film was a remake of the Telugu film "Marocharithra"
directed by K.Balachander himself.

S.P.Balasubramaniam got the national award for the best singer for his
song `tere mere beech main kaisa hain yeh bandan anjaanaa' from this
movie.

I don't think you are right. I believe this movie was made by K.Balachander.
I am not sure if he both produced and directed it though.
