I posted this quiz sometime back on rec.music.indian.misc.
I have included the quiz for those who missed. Solutions
and names of the winners are at the end.

list of course is not comprehensive so there might be other actors who

Although I couldn't participate in this quiz, I rem. similar Q being asked on
RMIM more than a year back... In addition to the above singers, it had
e) Hemant Kumar and
f) Talat Mehmood
in the list...
The answer at that time was Bharat Bhushan and Dev Anand. All the above singers
have sung for them.... I think the correct answer was given by someone called
Hussain... I'm afraid I don't rem. the exact name... but, judging from the
answers of this quiz, there can be one more addition...

dAnand was already in the list... It was mentioned that the BkBabu song cannot
be considered since it's a background song... I guess the Shayar song is valid.
The previous post cited a song from Vidya for Mukesh and the duet "Saanjh DHali
dil ki lagi thak chali pukaarke aaja..." from Kala Bazaar.

Actually, Jaane Waale Sipaahi is a background song. Nowhere does
Sunil Dutt "sing" it. I guess it would have been inappropriate for a
soldier to sing this song. In fact, they show Nanda, with other soldiers'
families for most of this song. A lot of marching, travelling by train is
also included.

p.s. While this song had been picturised well, Aha rimjhim ke ye
pyaare pyaare geet liye was pathetic.

yeah, i think Hemanth has sung atleast one song for Shammi...I remember watching the song on DD. I forgot the lyrics...but remember the picturization....Shammi walking on the streets, with a suitcase in one hand and a photograph of his beloved in the other , in the midst of a storm...will post the song if i remember it...goes something like...ya gham ki suno?? dil??.....????

Yes,
Hemant has sung for Shammi KApoor in the movie Bluffmaster. I don't remember
the song offhand but if you are interested will post it in a day or two.
