Until April 1995 the two have 79 pure duets with each other, whereas
Asha + Usha have 181.

Asha sang 7 solos for raaj kamal. About Sai I do not know. My book
(svaraashaa) does not mention that.

Check the soundtrack of Luv Kush a 90s film *ing Jeetendra, Jaya
Prada, Dara Singh et al. Music by Rajkamal & nearly every one of the
12/14 songs is a lata-asha duet.

Luv-Kush's music was by ram Laxman and not Rajkamal

raajkaml is known for his work in Rajshris' films - ghoongru ki awaaz
and saawn ko aane do and later sai's films-chashme badoor and katha,
he also did mahabharat

do you mean Payal ki Jhankar, or is there another Ghungroo ki Awaaz,
apart from the RDB-composed Vijay Anand starrer (atrocious movie,
excellent songs)?

That question mark after "excellent songs" is correct! :)

Looks like have to agree with Ketan, although I haven't heard the
songs of 'Ghunghroo Ki Awaz' (1981). I am going just by the crazy
assignments: Navketan productions, produced by Vijay Anand,
lead role opposite Rekha for Vijay Anand, directed by a pair of unknown
apparent brehren Ramsay, and lyrics by Vijay Anand!

And to end the decade, Navketan came up with 'Main Tere Liye' (1989):
produced by Dev Anand, directed by Vijay Anand, music by Bappi Lahiri,
and lyrics again by Vijay Anand (for completeness' sake, starring
Suneil Anand, Meenakshi Sheshadri, Rajendra Kumar, Asha Parekh).
Does anyone know if the directorial touch of Vijay Anand make a
difference?

All I know about the music of these two soundtracks is that
the RDB one seems to have sunk without a trace while the cassette
for the Bappi Lahiri one is available. As we all know, no
inference on quality can be drawn from that.

very true. As far as GKA (an insipid ghost-movie that needn't have
been made in the first place)is concerned, while it's nowhere near
RDB's best, it had at least two very good numbers, nonetheless:

1.the Jayjayanti-based Akhiyon ka kajra (KK-Asha)
2. O mere humraaz kaisa hai ye raaz (KK)

as for Ghungroo ki Awaaz do not agree with excellent songs bit, this
was a spooky film with only one decent song- a lata ( or was it asha)
song which went chhanan chhanan...????
