I was intrigued to discover that the song emerges in a ghazal format -
albeit one with a very long 'behr' - if one were to concatenate the first
two lines and the next two lines of the 'sthaayii'!
Incidentally, can't quite make out the second word in the third line of the
third antaraa. (How I wish it had been the third word - just think of the
preceding sentence then! :)) IS it "safaa"? What would it mean?

How about changing the first four words of the third line to read as follows:
"chhup sakaa pyaar kab hum chhupaa_e.n to kyaa".
