Does anyone remember the #1 song of each year in Binaca Geet Mala for
the last 10-20 years? Is the program still on, by the way? I can
remember the following songs being #1s but not the years.

It was not the number 1 song that year. That year Bindiya chamkegi
became number 1 because "ye bhai zara dekh ke chalo" (from mera naam
joker) could not complete
its 25 weeks in the parade.

I think that these were the popular numbers in those years but the
ranking had not started yet. So we can not be sure that these were the
most popular ones.

Souldn't it be husn hazir hai. A great number from Madan and jaidev.
Madan mohan could not complete the music for this movie and Jaidev took
over from where Madan had left.

If I remember correctly this was a three volume cassatte series by HMV. Could
somebody who has the third vol. continue this. Also how about posting the
names of the singers and of the music dir's.

If I remember correctly, after 1977 it was as follows:
