The above song is not available on cassette/CDs but another GEM song by Rafi
he sings only one stanza at the end of the movie, and I believe one (not so
sad part of the song), when Dharmendra gets married to Nutan, on their Suhaag
raat.(If some one know a CD/Cassette Please let me know, for this song only)

This is a lovely song, but sung by Bhupinder, not Rafi. This is among
Bhupinder's first few solos, the other one at the time being "Rut jawaaN
jawaaN" from "Aakhri Khat". Madan Mohan I believe gave Bhupinder his first
break in the song "Hoke majboor mujhe usne banaaya hoga" for the film
"Haqeeqat".

The second song you are talking about is probably a Lata song. Hardly a
song, actually. She just sings a couple of lines to minimal instrumental
accompaniment. 'o pai.nyaa.n paRu.ngi...' is perhaps based on raag
Jaijaivanti. Very nice. It is unlikely that any CD/tape release will carry
this snippet. I did manage to copy it off the video.

So, as per Kamlesh, the singer is Rafi.
According to Preetham, the singer is Bhupinder.
And bakaul Chetan, the singer is Lata.
Can you beat that? :))
Ashok
I always thought that "Rut jawan ..." was in fact Bhupinder's very first
solo, and also if I remember correctly it is picturised on him or
atleast I thought so when I saw it on chitrageet long ago.
