Here's my shot at it. I am not a native Telugu-speaker, so this may

As a native telugu-speaker, let me add my 2cents too.

Worship is correct only if it is sung as "vAtAtmajArchita" as some people
sing it.
vAta = Air (God)
+Atmaja = Son (Atma+ja)
+archita = the worshipped
Worshipped by Air God's son.
But if we go according to the above text, worship is the not correct word.
vAtAtmajAshritapAda
vAta = Air (God)
+Atmaja = Son (Atma+ja)
+Ashrita = the one taken "refuge to", the one made as asylum.
Sorry, apart from "refuge to" or "asylum", I am not able to get a better
word for "ashrayam". Insert that better word.

I think, Aturamuga means "eagerly". Also, the noun "Aturata" is used in
telugu to mean eagerness/anxiety.

viDuvaka = without leaving.
gaTTiga = firmly.
So the following could be translated as:-
nA pAtakamella pOgOTTi gaTTiga nA chEyibaTTi vIDuvaka
Remove (pOgOTTi) my (nA) all sins (pAtakamella) and firmly (gaTTiga)
hold (baTTi) my (nA) hand (chEyi) without leaving (viDuvaka).

You got it right, when you translated "viDajAla" as "I'll not leave",
and also "pOgOTTi" as "remove".
