To add to Shri Lakshman Ragde's response, when he says the stotra was 'composed' around 1430 AD, it means it was written around that time. It uses various poetic metres like Anushtup, Vasantatilakaa, Shardula-vikreedita, toTaka, bhujangaprayaata, Ghotaka (a.k.a. Durmila). [अनुष्टुप् , वसन्ततिलका , शार्दूलविक्रीडित, तोटक, भुजंगप्रयात, घोटक / दुर्मिल ]; and the rendition is geared towards the various gaits which bring out the musical beauty of these metres. It is not geared towards raag-dari. It's a fair guess that the verses are recited in the style known to us today since several centuries. Its rendition in various voices is easily available on YouTube.
The verses describing the unfolding mornings in that bygone era are a joy to read. Parrots opening their eyes (उन्मील्य नेत्र---), Vishnu waking up after spending the night nestled against Lakshmi's breasts (कमला-कुच---), bees trapped inside lotuses creating a crescendo (पद्मेश-मित्र---), the fading stars (आकाशसिन्धुकमलानि), the wind bringing scents of various trees, womenfolk churning curd (योषागणेन ---) and the vessels making loud noise, there are several passages describing the nature in a stotra geared towards praising Lord Venkatesh.
