Thank you.

Kanti Dattani
Kanti-bhai, I just know of two recordings. The studio recording which
has 'bageshwari' on the flip side of the LP and a recording of a live
programme in Delhi (which has a 'bhinna shadaj' on the flip side, I
think).
Which is the third one? Wold you be having some more details like the
year of release, etc.?
Thanks in advance.
For a choice between the two, I prefer the studio-recorded version.
On a related note, I had the good fortune of attending a recital of
hers at Rang Bhavan in Mumbai in mid-90's (just before the Municipal
Corporation stopped concerts at that lovely place) and her opening
presentation of bhoop-nat was just mind-blowing.
She seems extremely at ease with bhoop and related raags though I must
admit that in one of her concerts (at Sophia College at Bombay in
1994), her recital of 'bhoop' with extra-long 'meends' and the
'ati-vilambit' theka did tread on the toes of 'shuddh kalyan' quite
often.
Regards-Archisman.
It's definitely Kishori-tai's best. As for 'best ever' by any artist,
there could be some contenders (though hers will be right up there).
Paluskar's 'jab hi sab nirapat' and 'jab se tumi sang laagali' released
by CBS (an AIR release) is very good, So is Bade Ghulam Ali's vilambit,
drut (mahadev maheshwar) and tarana. (I cannot recall the vilambit
bandish).
In the 78 rpm domain, Narayanrao Vyas' 'sundhe bol', Zohrabai's tarana
and Jnanendraprasad Goswami's superb bengali raagpradhan - 'nandakula
chandra ananda dulaal' may deserve special mention.

It's "Prabhu Rang Bheena".
Sanjeev
Thanks, Sanjeev. You just do not seem to miss out on ANY bandish that
gets discussed in RMIC. It's really remarkable.
