There is an old book called "Hymns of Sankara" that I am currently
reading. I forget who the author is but I can look it up and tell you.
It has the hymns to Dakshinamurthy composed by Sankara and his disciples.
The second part of the book is the complete 18 verses of Bhaja Govindam
with translations. Some of those verses were composed by his disciples.
MS does not sing all the verses in her rendition, though whatever she has
is divine. The whole set of verses is too long to post but I will be glad
to do it given time. I can surely give you the reference though.

I just wanted to add one minor change to this translation that I'm sure the
listener will notice. The Senjurutti verse "artham anartham" is sung AFTER
the Mohanam "geyam geeta" (and just before Sindhubhairavi) in the MS version
that I have. I really do appreciate the ragam id and the lyrics/meanings from
the original posting. Thanks!

: It would be great if someone can either point out a source where I can look
: for the translation or post it in the net.
This is from an earlier posting on RMIC by a netter. I am just reposting it.
It contains only the 8-9 verses sung in the cassette while there are
actually 31 verses in Bhaja Govindam. If you need them all - I can send it
to you directly by e-mail. Enjoy !!!
