Reciting vEdas on Veena

I am currently practicing aahata-nAda yOga on Saraswati Veena and Saraswati Guitar Veena. I love to recite the vedas, sUktas, mantras in the most traditional and pristine way. As was being done during the vEdic times, I have herein tried to recite the vEdas with a veena in my humble way. This file has two recordings. In subsequent ones, I will make all together and would sound better and will be even more effective. Kindly send me your valuable comments.

Dear Sunil,

My name is Bharath Srivathsan. I am based out of Bangalore. I am a yajurvedi and have completed vedadhyayana of taittireeya shaakha under my father. Of late I have been learning Rik and Saama vedaas as well.

While learning Saama I have been really intrigued to the practice of reciting with the help of a veena and want to find people who are already doing the same with any veda.

I myself have no background in sangeetha, but only the vedic svaras, need some guidance from someone with a sangeetha background on this topic. I am unable to access the video you have posted above in youtube. Hence I am writing to you.

How easy / fluent is it to recite along with a veena, while you are playing it. Is it possible to capture all the sounds of recitation in a Veena (which should be because there is so much mention of using Veena in the vedas, but again I want to know about the modern instrument that we now know as Veena vs the ancient Veena). Perhaps if I was able to see the video you posted above i could know more. Could you repost it?

Would you be able to teach me veeNa with a Vedic focus. Enough to be able to play the svaras of veda on a veena? I would like to start simple with yajur veda svaras, and gradually move towards more complex sama veda svaras.

With your music background (deducing from your blog), I reckon you would be able to help me. Where are you based? If you are in Bangalore, I would like to meet with you.
