Lalgudi Jayaraman's compositions.

Recently there has been a lot of discussion on Lalgudi Jayaraman on this net.
I am a big fan of Lalgudi's and have many concert recordings of his.However
of late,in his concerts there are some signs of apaswaram and there has been
some talk that he has been suffering from a mild arthritis for some time now.
However I must add here that this hasnt taken anything away from the
standard of his concerts,but for the rare lapses.As someone pointed out,I too heard that he is giving quite a few vocal concerts these days.
Anyway let me come to the main point of this post-his compositions.Besides
the numerous thillanas that he composed that have become so popular now(for ex.
Mohana Kalyani,Sindhubhairavi,Brindavana Saranga)I recently heard a concert
by Maharajapuram Santhanam in which he has sung a most beautiful varnam in
Charukesi-I havent heard such a beautiful varnam in a long time and I was
told that its composer was Lalgudi Jayaraman.I do not remember the Pallavi
but the charanam goes as follows:-
Kuzhal Oodhum Azhaga Kanna Kurai theerayo
The varnam just "puzhinji yedukka"fied(for those who dont know Tamil this
means "squeeze the juice out of")the rasa in Charukesi and Santhanam's renderingjust left me nonplussed.Are there more varnams by Lalgudi Jayaraman out there?
I have heard the cassette of thillanas that he released but I havent heard any
cassettes of his other compositions.Do any exist?Could some kindly net soul
post a list of his compositions?

I do not think there is any recording of only Lalgudi's varnams. Lalgudi
simply takes the cake as a contemporary composer of varnams. The ragas he
has composed varnams in (that I can recollect offhand) are Valaj,
Garudadhwani, Bauli, Kannada, Bahudari, Nalinakanti, Charukesi and
Shanmukhapriya. Charukesi and Shanmukhapriya are pada varnams, with
sahitya passages for all chittai swarams. He uses both Tamil and Telugu
for his sahitya.

containing all tana varnams, pada varnams, krithis, thillanas
of lalgudi Jayaraman and his father(much smaller in numbers).

beautifully and print is excellent. The pandantra for all songs

To add to this list: Jayaraman has composed Varnams in Mandari, Andolika,
Amrithavarshini, Sama, Asaveri, Mohanakalyani, Devagandhari (all tana
varnams).

Sruti issues 72, 74 and 80 have published a biography of Lalgudi with
issue 80 covering his compositions.

GNB too has composed a few nice varnams.
