reason for Pt Jasraj Bashing

Is there a reason for the negative comments on Pt Jasraj by Mr Rajan
Parrikar in his articles ? For example I found this statement in one of
his SAWF articles :

"The final Gunji Kanada is by Mr. Jasraj of the Viagra Gharana, a
renowned expert in condom mechanics "-
I am curious as to what Mr Rajan Parrikar knows or thinks about Pt
Jasraj ? or is he just biased ????

I have seen many people not liking Jasraj for many reasons. I agree
that sometimes he tries to act a little smart or he himself being guru
no more pai lago (touching feet) only bless you! But whatever it is I
have some of his collection which is simply amazing. I specifically
like his bandishes some of them are very very well done especiallly
"anokha ladla" or "Sakhi ri ab tum mat karo baat" are worth mentioning.

I myself am a very very naive music listener but to my ears he sounds
good. Recently he may have not been singing up to his mark but try to
get hold of some old collections and you will know what I mean. If
anyone wants such a collection ofcourse need not mention ..contact me
and I will mail you the CDs!

Am a huge fan of Parrikar's blog, don't read anything more than his blogs on music. But his comment on the Kanada Constellations on Jasraj ..calling him Banditji and Viagra gharana condom mechanic .... makes me disappointed. And then talking like this to Montino who is a good musician himself. Why would you do that Mr.Parrikar when you have set an example of how to develop a music library and are probably doing the best in educating youngsters like me to appreciate our rich Indian music?

Please do not engage in such smear campaigns against musicians who have established themselves as musicians (you may question them) but resorting to such language would just belittle your image in people like us who love your work Mr Parrikar. God bless you.
