Mazhar Ali Khan and Javad Ali Khan are grandson's of India's legendary
classical vocalist, Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan, doyen of the Patiala Gharana,
and have been hailed as "the latter day Aliya-Fattu (of Patiala Gharana)".
And as such, Mazhar Ali Khan and Javad Ali Khan are currently the leading
vocalists of the younger generation in India today.
This should be a "not to be missed" concert for those who appreciate
Classical vocal Khayal and Thumri music in the Hindustani style. This will be
great way to close out the 1998 concert season, at this late date in the
year.

Hello,
This is the first time I personally am hearing their names, but being that
they are grandsons of the great Bade Ghulam Ali Khan, I would be very
interested in knowing more about them. Are they Munawar Ali Khan's sons?
About how old are they? Also, do they have any commercial recordings
released? Where else are they performing in North America? Please post or
reply to sanj...@aol.com.
