Dear Chandra,

I am not good at providing meaning for literary Telugu (or even this form
of Telugu), but I can give you the gist of each line with details
wherever possible. Maybe experts can elaborate.

Also, you are missing one charaNam.

> Pallavi : palukE bangAra mAyenA kOdaNDapANi (palukE)
>

paluku = utterance;. bangaaram = gold; aayena = has it happened
(similar) ?

kodandapaani = one who holds the kodanda (I am not sure whether this is
exactly right - kodanda is the bow He holds)

Ramadasu is asking his Lord Rama (the one who holds the Kodanda) whether
Rama's utterance has become like gold which is not easy to find? -
basically meaning Lord Rama does not speak as if His words are so
precious as gold and that He is not sparing a word for him.

> CaraNam : palukE bangAramaye pilacina palukavEmi
> kalalO nI nAmasmaraNa maravanu cakkanitaNDri (palukE)
>

pilacina = despite my calls (piluvu = call) ; palukavu = you do not speak
; emi = why?

kala = dream ; lo = in ; nI = your ; nama = name ; smaraNa = chanting ;
marava = will not forget

cakkani = nice (not the exact word) or maybe good ; tanNDri = father;

meaning: You words have become so precious and hence rare that despite my
calls you do not respond. Even in my dreams, I will not forget chanting
your name, oh my good Lord.

(BMK sings it as cakkani saami which means good Lord - I find this more
appropriate)

the missing caraNam (not exactly transliterated):

entha vEDina gAni thunthaina daya rAdu
pantham cEya nenenthati vADanu tanDri

entha = how much ; vEDina = pleaded ; gAni = but ; thunthaina = even very
little ; daya = mercy ; rAdu = does not come;
panthamu = bet or to be like insistingly stubborn ; cEya = to do ; nenu =
I ; enthati = how much (of a person) ; vAdanu = I am ;

meaning : how much ever I plead, you do not feel merciful to the smallest
extent and to challenge (as a child) and insist with you, how much of a
person I am, oh Father?

> : sharaNAgatatrANa birudAnguDavu kAvA
> karuNincu bhadrAcala vara rAmadAsa pOSa (palukE)
>

rewrite:

saraNa gatatrANa birudAnkituDavu kAdA

karuNincu bhadrAcala vara rAmadAsa pOSa

saraNa gata trANa = one who give asylum (readers could elaborate on
trANa); birudu = title ; ankitudavu = you are dedicated with ; kAda =
isnt it true? (maybe kAva is right I am not sure)

karuNincu = please show mercy ; bhadrAcala vara rAmadAsa pOSa = the one
who is nurtures Bhadrachala Ramadasa. (pOSA = one who nurtures or takes
care of)

meaning: Oh Lord, you are dedicated with the title that you give asylum
to anyone who ask for it; then please show mercy oh Lord who takes care
of Bhadrachala Ramadasa.

hope this helps. I would like to see a much more detailed meaning for
some of the words.

thanks

regards
