i just heard this new tupac track a day ago, where he uses that
get money remix (we can be as good as the best of them and as bad
as the worst...) beat, speeds it up a little, and says shit like,
"grab your glocks if you see tupac, call the cops if you see tupac"
at the end of the song he says "FUCK YOU" to mobb deep, chino XL,
and alot of other east coasters... now, this east west shit wasn't
really that bad, and i don't really even like biggie and his band
of bitches (junior mafia & lil kim) but i hate tupac's faggot ass
even more, and none of them bitches can actually rap or anything...
in tupac's track, he has some other guys rappin in it too... i think
there's a girl(can't tell) and she/he was talkin about lil kim...
here are some quotes from that shit...

"biggie smalls and junior mafia, some mark ass niggas"
"lil kim don't fuck around with real Gees,
quick to snatch your ugly ass of the street"
"grab your glocks if you see tupac, call the cops when you see
tupac, who shot me but your punks didn't finish, now you bout
to see the wraith of a meanace" (that was the chorus)
"biggie, remember when i used to let you sleep on the couch,
and beg them other bitches to sleep in the house,
now you talk about versace, you copy my style, five shots
couldn't drop me, i took it and smiled,
now i'm about to set the record straight, with my A K I'm still
that thug that you love to hate"

one thing i don't understand... of all the people to fuck with,
why chino XL, cause he will make your ass look like a piece of
shit after he is finished with you...

the smart thing for them to do, is to have a track with,
biggie, junior mafia w/ lil kim, mobb deep, chino XL, and
all other east coasters who hate tupacs bitch ass... and
i don't even like biggie's fat ass...

Tupac dissed Chino because Chino said in "No Complex": "In this industry,
I'm tried not to get fucked like Tupac in jail". This line can be taken
two ways. One, Chino is trying not to get fucked like Tupac was trying not
get fucked when he was in jail. Or two, (the meaning Tupac obviously
took), Chino was saying he was trying not to get fucked like Tupac DID
(according to some East Coast rumors) ) get fucked in jail. Personally,
since Chino is vicious and will rip anybody, I can't tell which way he
meant it. Tupac makes good story raps like "Brenda's Got A Baby" and "Dear
Mama", he really shouldn't try to be a battle rapper, because other people
(like Chino) do it a hundred times better. Personally, I wish 'Pac had
signed to a label like LaFace (which seems to care about its artists)
instead of Death Row, because the Row just made his music more
"gangsterfied". Don't believe me? Listen to the political raps on his
first album, "Wordz of Wisdom" and (to a lesser degree) "Violent...". Now
compare that lyrical content with the new double album. In the new album,
'Pac is either in Snoop party rap/playa mode or in Kurrupt ride on the
opposition/kill 'em all some of his best work has possessed. Since I have
followed 'Pac since his first album, I have a pretty good overall view of
his progression (you might say regression, depending on opinions) as an
MC. I hope he goes back to his roots and lets go of all the petty
bullshit.

PS: Did anyone notice how in the inside cover of his CD he called for the
release of all political prisoners, including Geronimo Pratt and Mumia Abu
Jamal? Now, if only he would get back to writing songs about stuff like
that.

Salaam (Peace),

Granted Tupac is kind of getting silly, but basically it's to sell
records. Rivalry sparks controversy and controversy gets people going to
the record store. Hell, rivalry kept MC Shan's career going longer than it
should have...even landed him a Sprite commercial more than 10 years later.
My suspiscion is that just about the time Tupac, Biggie, et al see their
careers sag we'll see a big reconciliation.

Nevertheless, it would be cool to see Chino pull some cards, particularly
no-skills fools from BOTH coasts. And for the record, Chino is a WEST
coast rapper.

Umm...Chino is from Newark, NJ, not Chicago.

You're both wrong. Chino XL comes from East Orange, New Jersey, but he
currently resides on the West Coast.

Yeah, and 2Pac hails from the east...what's your point? Chino resides on

My point was to try to correct the original post, nothing more and nothing
less. However, I stand corrected because as two other people pointed out,
Chino is from East Orange, N.J. not Newark. By the way, why does Chino
represent the West Coast now? I sure haven't heard him "big up" the West
Coast or shout "wessyde!" yet (although I'll admit, I haven't bought the
album yet). And if he does represent the west, big deal. His shit is still
phat. It's not the coast that matters, only the music (and that's coming
from a so-called "East Coast" head).

Where do you get that from? Chino has respect for all geographical areas,
but he represents his home town like crazy. Ever heard him say
"representin' Jersey to the fullest"? Word is, he's just temporarily
staying out there to peep out the different sounds and whatnot, sort of
like what Kool Keith is doing.

Well I think Chino XL still has a few pople who may want to try to pull his
card, but I got respect for Chino for speaking his mind straight up... but
Chino XL mentioned Tupac on a few tracks if I'm not mistakened so I expected
it, I'm fiending for a Chino Xl response...

I think if Chino jus concentrated on a song dissin Tupac, Pac would have
his feelings hurt, cause it's no holds barred with Chino.

Eeza, you posted...

I respond...

People always say this. This seem to forget Tupac's history. This is the
man who saw two cops harassing a brother, got out of his car, and shot the
two cops. NOBODY I have known in my life has ever done some shit like
that. Huey P Newton is the only brother I know of that would have been
wild enough to do that shit, when he was alive. Tupac got shot FIVE times.
Not once. FIVE. Two shots hit him in the head. He not only suirvived, HE
SHOWED UP IN COURT THE NEXT FUCKING DAY!!! So, say what you will about
Tupac's music, as a person he is a straight up soldier. Sure, he has done
irresponsible things, but so did Huey Newton when he was alive. Both men
had their revolutionary side and their counterrevolutionary side. Huey
used to beat women. Now, Pac never did no dumb shit like that, but he has
slipped up sometimes. In the rape case, he had consensual sex with the
woman (even she attested to this), but it will never be known what
happened between her and his boys. Did he allow it or was he really in the
other room? Either way, he should have gotten that sister out of there.
That would have been the righteous thing to do. But like I said, Pac's
made mistakes.

Mobb Deep, BTW, has beef with Def Squad. Now, personally I think Redman's
tall ass could beat the shit out of Havok and Prodigy (they both average
under 5'9 from what I hear). Mobb Deep are the ones that need to chill
out, because I read in RAPPAGES that they tried to kick that "LA, LA" song
at a show in Los Angeles and got bottles thrown at they asses. Now, the
crowd was peaceful till they did that song, according to my sources. But
then they had to be dumb asses and spark it off. How the fuck you gonna
disrespect somebody's hometown when you're in their hometown? Security had
to rescue their silly asses before they got mobbed (pun intended).

do you know tupac? have you actually spoken to him, conversed
talked politics or music. Were you his next door neighbor in
baltimore. did you go to school with him in oakland?
how do you actually no Tupac. is it from interviews in the source
or vibe? And how many ghetto kids do you know with tupac's album?
do you know any ghetto kids. What exactly is a ghetto kid?
what does he eat, listen to, study. How many suburban kids do you know
that bought the souls of mischief, or de la soul, or tribe?
how many ghetto kids are on the internet? how many suburban kids are
on the internet?

what's your function? how does your input really affect the coast war?
What's the point of you speculating on tupac, whom you don't know, and
telling other people who don't know about tupac like it's the gospel.

real hip hop? true hip hop? representing? signifying? keep it real?
it's all good?

it's all marketing with catchy slogans, and cd singles, and rap videos
shot in 70 mm film.

if you had a gun, and you saw tupac, or snoop would you end their lives
because you don't like their music? would you take a black man's life
for a trivial reason?

so you actually support black on black violence, and would like to see
the end of another brother's life over major label marketing gimmicks?
maybe you should be reading white nationlism, or alt skinheads.

do you actually consider yourself a fan of hip hop culture and you want

I agree with K Orr......Most of this has been a marketing tool to grab the
weak and spineless (read:Tupac)....I like John Woo flims and Gansta Rap
but I know that it's nothing but a fantasy created to sell records....The
real ganstas are in jail....or dead (ask Pablo Escobar).

The sooner we all wake up and find out that most of this stuff is like
Pro-Wrestling....the better for all of us!!!
