Sex and Drugs and Tupac Shakur

Rapper/actor Tupac Shakur found plenty of time for sex and drugs
and rock 'n' roll before he was killed in a drive-by shooting two years
ago at the age of 25, according to a new book by his bodyguard.

"I don't mind talking about Pac's sex life, because it was something he
lived for," writes Frank Alexander in Got Your Back: The Life of
a Bodyguard in the Hardcore World of Gangsta Rap (St. Martin's
Press). "I laugh when I think about other books being written on
Tupac, where they want him to be some kind of Malcolm X figure.
Tupac was Malcolm triple-X!"

Shakur often had sex with many of the female leads and extras on the
sets of his videos, according to Alexander. In fact, he says that the
rapper had sex with so many women on the set of the "How Do U
Want It" video that he passed out from exhaustion.

"I couldn't count the number of hoochies Pac slept with while I was
working with him," he says. "I don't have enough fingers and toes,
because it would have to be in the three digits. Suffice it to say, if you
were a groupie and you wanted a piece of Pac, chances are you'd
get it. He didn't disappoint many fans."

Alexander writes that the Poetic Justice star also had a strong
appetite for marijuana, which he referred to as his "candy": "Weed
was a necessity for Pac, without it, he'd lose it. For Pac, it was as
necessary as brushing his teeth in the morning. He went to court
stoned, he didn't care."

"He played, he f---ed, he made money, he traveled, he smoked
weed," concludes Alexander. "He did everything that someone would
do if it was the last year of their life, and he was good at all of it."

So what do ya'll think of this? Is Frank Alexander just trying to make a few
bucks off Tupac's name or what? Should he have written a book revealing such
intimate details? Are these confessions-of-a-bodyguard books getting out of
hand?

Also, what do ya'll think of this appearing in the TV Guide website? (as
opposed to say, Sonicnet or MTV news?)

peace,

Neil

You can't just writee this like this is all the book talks about. I'e
read part of the book (not much) and he talks about other things too. To
truly get a feel for the book, people shouldn't just read select excerpts
picked by someone else.
