Well, he is, but all the crossposted political findings just attract the
innanet's nutbags who clutter up our sacred silence.

Are people tired of talking about music on here?
Have they stopped listening to music to begin with?

sorry but you cant blame a few political crossposts on this shit...
if you total them up they might be 10 or so a week... the silence
disturber would be rob cypher who i dont read and i can always
tell a rob cypher thread because it begins without him and its
usually some kook shit...

im not, but when i do and say some shit like mop has had the best
album in years, people like you are on some snobbery shit and pretty
much fuck it up for everybody with your comments about my music
taste... this place isnt a place where people can talk about music
anymore, its a place where a bunch of guys are apparently the best
connosieurs of hiphop and if you mention something that they dont
agree with your apparently some type of clown ie you, atothel, and
haroon... it doesnt bother me in the least bit, but there are probably
not many willing to challenge people who are highly respected in
here so you have what you have...

> Have they stopped listening to music to begin with?

ive been in a seventies mode lately that pretty much only serves
as hiphops sampling pit... ojays, temptations, al green, faze-o,
etc... for the couple of hours a week i get to play with my new
toy (ns7), ive been putting together the weirdest mixes mixing
songs of the sixties with hiphop beats...

hiphop aint dead, just rmhh... :-)

wow... someone got out the bed on the wrong side...

as far as in here, I just have an extreme lack of time, and my
laziness factor has kicked in too... I just can't be arsed typing up
tons of shit about whatever I'm listening to...

I guess I'm twitter-fied :)

saying that though, I'm splitting a lot of time between commercial
Hiphop, old school stuff, and old mixtapes and radio shows - I'm
heading to VA for thanksgiving and trying to take time to load stuff
I'll really enjoy listening to during the 13 hour drive.

As far as recent releases, BP3 has really grown on me. The Haters
track with Kanye is the only cut on the whole album I really do not
like. Its definitely more playable for me that Rae's album, which
initially shined and then quickly lost its replay value - its actually
a little, um, boring.

The Meth & Red album isn't the shitfest everyone thought though its
not amazing either.

The 50 Cent leak is better than I thought it would be, but still not
mindblowing. I think he's done a great job with the single with Ne-Yo
though.

I said your posts ATTRACT wackos. Not really your fault, it's just that
that's the only thing happening in here right now. Every day, I open up
the group in my Thunderbird, mark the nitwit posts, hit K, and what's
left is a lot of already read posts...

Funny you should use that example, cos if you go back to that thread,
you'll find out I revised my opinion, just cos my snobby ass is fair
like that.

Post the mixes so every DJ on the group (and even those who aren't) can
talk shit about your mixing. ;)
And feel free to talk about the old music there too. It is the soil for
our little tender plant called hip-hop.

I just downloaded XNEWS at this very moment. Hopefully with that I can
sort through the unrelated posts and start responding to the small
percentage of posts that are relevant.

Other than that I just haven't had the energy to post up in here lately.
But I'll be posting about all the new music I come across.

So can I talk about the Chris Brown and Rihanna interviews in here,
then?

So she flipped over a text message and he flipped on her? Even for
stupid young-un drama, that just doesn't sound completely right. I
think there is much more to it than that.

My father and mother used to fight like that before they finally
divorced. One thing that I realized about it was that my mother sort
of got off on the drama. I hate to say it, but she did. She would do/
say things that she knew pissed my father off. (for example, I
remember that he didn't eat pork and was adamant about not wanting it
in the house and she would get mad about something and decide to
deliberately cook pork chops for dinner that night). I know that it
doesn't make what happened right.....but they both needed help...it
wasn't just all on one person. I think in some domestic abuse
instances this may be the case and Chris Brown/Rihanna might fall
under that category.

Maybe. Plus, I think the rmhh tastes are probably too eclectic for
average folk.

I never stopped listening to music and don't think I ever will.
However, I will say that I don't pay as much attention to new releases
and new artists as I used to.
