*WARNING: THIS POST DESCENDS INTO A RAMBLE ON. DON'T READ IF EASILY BORED*

It's hot. It doesn't get played half as much as it should do here in the UK
and more specifically, here in Nottingham. In Notts, all the pirate stations
have died out and all we've got is pure Backstreet Boys/Britney Spears/Pied
Piper/Gabrielle pop music on Trent FM or bollocks football talk and 70's
Phil Collins on Century. Of course we get Radio One, the whole country gets
that, but there's no alternatives. In London they've got Choice and Galaxy
and Kiss and 10001 Pirates. Over there in the states, you get 24/7 Hip-hop &
R&B stations. We get Jack Jones.

Thank Fuck I've got a CD player and turntables!

"After the show it's the after party and, after the party, it's the hotel
lobby" - Jigga on Fiesta goddammit.

I'm tired of hearing Ja Rule "I Cry". Nothing against the song or Ja Rule.
Luv them both....I just don't want to hear it anymore for a while. I also
find myself turning the dial on that Foxy Brown song w/ the reggae
undertones (...can't remember the name of it. Can't remember any verses.
All I keep hearing in my head is that call "Woy-ohhh!!
Woy-ohh-ohh-ohhhh!!!").

Still loving the "Get Your Freak On" remix though.

PS: Vin Diesel is yummy. I don't wanna see Halle's boobs. I'm saving my
money for The Fast and the Furious just to see that upper body and to hear
his voice. The movie could suck all kinds of ass and I won't even care.
It's worth my $9.50 just cuz he's in it.

Back in 1994, Sagat said it best with his song, "Funk Dat". I quote:
"why is it, everytime I turn on the radio, I hear the same five songs,
fifteen times a day, for three months---man, funk dat!" That's my whole
beef with contemporary radio. A handful of songs by the same handful of
artists. That's bullsh*t. Also, I'm 34 and there's definitely a problem
when an 11 year old can have the number 1 rap song in the
country---talking about ish I went through in the '70s. Give me Kutmasta
Kurt, M-Boogie, and Unsung Heroes any day. Stations need to stop with
that mantra, "this is where Hip Hop lives". Tell the truth and say, "yo,
all we do is go by a playlist based on what we think the public wants to
hear."
PEACE!

WORRRRRRRD UP RICK

"Puppy love" has been number one for about 3 fuckin months, except for
the two days when Li'l Romeo "reached" number one. What BET isn't
telling us is what went on behind the scenes of 106 & Park. Here's
how it went down:

JD(sucking AJ's cock): So AJ you promise Puppy Love will be number one
for 14 consecutive weeks?

AJ: MMMMmm yeah sure baby. But we'll have to let another song be
number one for a few days otherwise people will get suspicious. MMM.
Oohh yeah. We'll make sure to pick another song no one likes, plays,
or voted for. It's great, you're so short you don't even need to kneel
when you blow me. OOOoohh. ahhh oh yeah you suck so well JD. Li'l
Bow Wow sure is a lucky kid.

JD: How come your dick is so small? And what's this brown stuff all
over the place?

AJ: Goddamn it! My black cream is wearing off! Don't tell anybody
I'm really white okay?

JD: It'll be our little secret.

I assume you were taking issue with the one line you quoted, but I didn't find
any of it funny. And I do like lil romeo.

I'm sorry...they need to RETIRE that damn song from 106&Park. It's a trip
how when it comes down to the #2 song (and it IS always Lil' Romeo), they
always ask..."and WHAT is the #1 song today??? We'll find out...when
106&park returns!!!" I swear...if they were trying to do BET's version of
TRL, they could AT LEAST have a variety of songs. Every video on that
show is beyond overplayed.

BTW, tomorrow they are retiring Puppy Love. And Bow Wow is gonna be on the
show to give away that go-kart they've been talking about for the last few
years every 3 minutes on 106&park. I only watch to catch ocassional New
Joints that I like, since they only play the good ones once.

Vin Diesel, is he some kind of fucking wrestler or something...and that movie
looks flat out retarded, and Ja Rule is in it, nuff said. However, paying 7.50
to see Halle expose those lovely things is enough Justice for me...

If I ever have to hear Ja Rule again, it'll be too fucking soon. If
that "Six Feet Underground" bullshit two-fingered composed beat is his
next single, I swear to god I'm gonna hurt somebody.

Lil Bow Wow's not terrible, but I don't like "Puppy Love" at all. And
if you're sick of seeing it on 106 and Park...why you still watching?

And, word up, Jermaine Dupri is mad short. And they showed his record
collection on that "how to live large" MTV special, and that was
pretty fucking short too. I got him beat by a looooong shot and I've
only been digging for about 6 months...

"Fiesta" is just awful. I don't mean I don't enjoy it, but it is the
biggest hunk of fluff ever. Thug R&B is the dumbest idea ever, and
Jigga's fun to hear just because he rips up Boo and Gotti, whoever the
fuck they are.

If you wanna talk played out...here at work, the "variety" station is
always on. And if I gotta hear that Lifehouse song one more time...

Where can I see Halle Barre's tits?

"Fast and the Furious" looks like a good movie to see drunk, when it's
cheap. Is Nelly Furtado in it? Because if she's not, the lead girl
looks alot like her. And she's hot *and* Canadian. ;)

Put It On Me
We Cried
Peaches and Cream
Survivor
All For You
Fiesta (Remix)
Puppy Love
Bounce With Me
and on and on and on

All the stations around here burn ten songs on a disc, drop it in, hit
"shuffle" and just sit back.

I do have to give 102 Jamz props though for their "20 Minute Old School
Workout", "5 O'clock Old School Joint", and "10 O'clock Bomb". All of
which add to a slightly less anoying day of radio listening.
