"MILWAUKEE - A man who faces sentencing on graffiti violations now
faces another accusation - that he tagged his jail cells, too.

Troy Lee Mosby placed his signature "Syrup" tag on the walls, beds,
tables, locker and mirrors of six cell blocks at the Milwaukee County
House of Correction, according to a criminal complaint filed Thursday.

Mosby, 20, of Wauwatosa, was scheduled for sentencing Friday on 14
misdemeanor graffiti counts. Instead, Milwaukee County Circuit Court
Judge Paul Van Grunsven adjourned the matter to April 21 so Mosby has
time to answer the new accusation.

"Given the nature (of the new case) I don't think there will be a lot
of investigation needed," he said.

Assistant District Attorney Nancy Ettenheim charged Mosby with habitual
criminality, a felony. Mosby pleaded not guilty to that charge Friday.
He faces up to two years in prison if convicted.

On the other charges, Ettenheim had recommended jail time, restitution
and probation."

i mean thats pretty stupid, they know your tag already how can you
think you're not going to get caught? 2 years is kinda nuts tho

Doesn't the judge know that this is just a cry for help? Somebody
bring Dr. Phil in.

2 years just for writing on walls? Damn, if this ain't proof the
government is just coming up with reasons to sustain the
prison/correctional enforcement industry in America, I don't know what
is.

Also, was the guy white? It doesn't really make a difference but I'm
just curious.
Peace!

Prison is big business. Only place in this country that slave labor is
legal.

my guess would be he's not... although thats not based on anything on
the fact that this is america and he got 2 years for writing on
walls... sentencing is usually still very racist in this country (even
more so then the rest of the justice system)

i know somebody who was in prison for writing graffiti. i think he got
2 1/2 years. he got caught. got caught again. the judge told him that
he wouldn't send him to prison so that he could finish school. got
caught again. did time. i knew that he was out when is name was on the
streets again. the guy used to be really good but prison destroyed his
talent.

peace.
