The wayne album is still holding up strong, because IMO its got a
pretty cohesive vibe to it, but some of these songs are not that good
on their own. Out of the album there's maybe 5 songs that are
absolutely dope on their own, a handful that are dope in one specific
way and worth replay (hello "All She want me to do is fuck the
police"). A Milli has got to be the single of the year. It was
easily the strongest joint on the first play through, between the
bass, the sample and the lyrics. Thank god i dont really fuck with
radio or mtv so I'm probably not gonna get sick of this song before
its time.
Isn't there a new AZ album or three? I havent peeped anything since
the format. I think theres been a 2cd anthology, an album putting on
his boy, and the memphis sessions joint since then? I wanna say
theres another proper album that just dropped recently but i havent
peeped that either and I can't even confirm its existence.
Tangentially, how much does Supa Blanco from Sqad Up sound like he
wishes he was AZ? Definitely a more interesting look than aping pac/
jay/big like everyone else...
Whatever happened to nonphixion? Thats rhetorical, i know goretex got
kicked out, and the whole thing kinda fell apart, with Sabac getting
more onto the political shit and Bill kicking it with the LCN dudes
and totally gooning it on the thug rap tip, but these guys were
seriously a "can't miss" but never even dropped a sophomore album.
Anyone know of anything unreleased by them I should be looking for?
I've got the green album, the lp and a couple of 12s and all the solo
shit except for the sabac collabs album.
Whatever happened to lloyd banks? The boy wonder spit heat on the
first batch of g unit mixtapes (so did all of them come to think of
it) and then dropped the first money in the bank joint and after that
dudes flow has been straight nyquill.
Curren$y is still grinding and might have a shot now that hes free
from Young Money records (will this label ever put out a single lp?)
and recently dropped a mixtape repping/based off of mocha's new
favorite movie. I think it might be called bat country. Anyways I
guess he's down with skater Terry Kennedy and trying to capitalize on
the whole skate/sneaker/streetwear angle. No word on if there's
pharell diss tracks (TK used to skate for ice cream and has since
called pharell a fraud who can't skate and gone at him in a few
interviews)

There was a new one. I can't even remember the title... Right,
"Undeniable." Not bad. Standard AZ fare. No comparison to
the debut. Would you believe he's got AMIL on there (if only
for a hook.)
> Bill kicking it with the LCN dudes
He also kicks it with Tech N9ne, whose Strange Music site
announces an ILL BILL album.
Matt
I liked the debut, but honestly I think the sosa bootleg was my
favorite thing he did. A lot of the debut was blah to me when I spun
it recently (obv Sugar Hill and Rather unique still get it done)

Weird,
Ill Bill has a new solo album coming out next month, apparently.

Yeah, it's really good and cohesive 8-10 tracks when you clear few cuts
out of the way, like the lollipop songs and 3 peat and the busta track &
let the beat build.

Is that the dude that stutters on that one AZ record...prolly not.
Whoever that guy is, i need to hear more from...I checked it he's on the
end of Make Me on the Format lp. Ok, he's called Fresh. Anybody know
anything bout him?
