She said something to the effect that she doesnt want white people listening to
her music. She also referred to whites as devils in a freestyle rap at the MTV
Awards press conference, after someone from Howard Sterns show asked if if she
would do a song with OJ.

I never heard a confirmation on this...but a few years back I heard that she
said she would rather drown her first born child than have another white
person buy her record. Even if it isn't true, IM sure its what Em is
referring to in all of his Lauren hill references.

That is what I heard too. But then my friend read in a magazine that her
response to that comment was that people misunderstood what she really meant by
what she said. I dunno how you misunderstand that!

"I'm scarier than a white person trapped in a room with Lauryn Hill" or
something to that effect, I forget what song that's on, but I know its on
his cd... For some reason I'm thinking it's "Role Model" but it probably
isn't... I should've waited til I woke up more...

On "Rush Ya Click" on the Outsidaz EP he says something... I really don't
understand WHAT, but I know he mentions Lauryn Hill...

There was a rumor a few years ago that Lauren Hill said she would
rather have her children starve than have white people buy her
records.

I believe that Lauren went on record afterwards saying she had made no
such comment.

At any rate, to the best of my knowledge, no one has been able to
reference exactly when or where she made the supposed comment, or
produce a recording/transcript of the quote.

As far as I'm concerned, it's urban folklore -- if she had really said
this, there would have been soundbites of it all over the place.

The horrible thing is that I actually bought her record, and
showed it to her and was like, "Look, Lauryn, I bought your
record, what are you gonna do?" And then she took one of her kids
and ate it, right before my eyes. Bones and everything, like it
was some sort of cocktail weiner. And she was like, "There, I
showed you." And I was like, "Damn, that's cold."

In one song, Eminem says, "I'm dumb enough
to walk into a store and steal, so I'm dumb
enough to ask for a date with Lauryn Hill."

Um, she didn't call white people devils, but she did rather
effectively clown Stern in that freestyle. While I can't
recollect the exact lyrics, I do remember it being rather witty
w/o filler about how fools like Stern try to create stress and
strife.

Lauryn hill said she wouldnt have sex with a white man, cause they always fart
during sex. She also said that people with white skin shouldnt buy her album,
if they do she is going to molest her kids. Thats just what I heard though.

I'm kinda feeling them.
While we are on the "sounds like the Fugees" kick, whatever happened to that
group with two guys and a woman who did that joint called "baseball"? I
remember the girl had a line that was like "then its a technical
foul.......wait a minute, thats basketball-well, whatever....good call" or
something like that. Maybe I don't have the line all the way right, and I
don't remember their name, but I liked the stuff they came out with.

Are you feeling froggy?

"Lyrics in my liner notes read like rhetorical questionnaires" (Blak Vulkan)

"or I'll give your demo tape to Jerry Heller" (LMNO)

Oh I'll grant you that Mathew. I heard the song on Rap City and it
