It is on the DreamWorks reissue of the album.

the dreamworks re-issue, i theenk.

I've got the MO WAX version of "Instrumentalyst" and I could swear they
changed some of the tracks around as well as screwing with the speed on
some songs......

I believe there are four versions of the album:

Bulk Recordings (original pressing with Pushead cover)
Mo' Wax (UK pressing with hand cover)
DreamWorks (reissue; Pushead cover)
DreamWorks ("INSTRUMENTALIST")

There may be five, since I think "INSTRUMENTALIST" had been released
before).

Insrumentalyst was available before Dreamworks reissued Dr. Octagon(on
BULK, I assume). I can vouch for the MO WAX Insrumentalyst because I
have it, and assuming there's also a vocal Dr. Octagon on MO WAX that
would be SIX versions. Right?

1977 was on the reissue released on Dreamworks, but not the original on
Bulk Recordings. Same with "Real Raw".

yep thats the one I've got, but I wouldn't consider them the smae album
even if it is the same beats, Instumentalist has got no lyrics and a couple
of extra tracks, so it's hardly the same album, just same beats

no Instumentalist and Dr Octagon are DIFFERENT albums one has lyrics the
other has none and has extra tracks

there are english and us pressings for each but there is no such thing as a
"vocal dr octagon" thats what it is...Dr Octagon!

Instrumenatlyst is one album Dr Octagon is another but it came out first

If "Insrumentalyst" is not a version of DR. Octagon, then why is it
called "Dr. Octagon - Instrumentalyst"? Anyway, even if you consider
them different albums that still makes 3 pressings of each (Bulk,
Dreamworks and Mo Wax). That's all I'm saying. Just for the record, I
think the Mo Wax "Instrumentalyst" plays a bit slow......

I think the Dreamworks version of Instrumentalyst has Q-Bert's
scratching, while the Mo'Wax version doesn't.

Why does this has to be so hard????

Check it... there are two different albums by Dr.Octagon, each of which
have been released three times (by Bulk, Mo'Wax and Dreamworks).

dr.octagon - dr.octagonolyst (bulk)
dr.octagon - instrumentalyst (bulk)
dr.octagon - dr.octagon (mo'wax)
dr.octagon - instrumentalyst (mo'wax)
dr.octagon - dr.octagonolyst (dreamworks)
dr.octagon - instrumentalyst (dreamworks)

ok?

Or did they? You forgot to list the differences between the various
releases, Beside.

Just kidding.

okay,
i'm tired of seeing this thread.
DR. Octagon Lp was originally released on Bulk Records (record 1)
Mo Wax picked it up for European distribution, released it as a triple
10" with new cover. (record 2)
Mo Wax Releases "DR. Octagon" on CD (CD 1)
Bulk Releases a 'blue flowers' 12" single. (single 1)
Mo Wax Releases 'blue flowers' 12" single (single 2) w/ remixes
Mo Wax Releases another 'blue flowers' 12" single (single 3) with more remixes
Mo Wax Releases 'blue flowers' CD single with most of both 12"s on it
(CD single 1)
Mo Wax Releases 'instrumentalyst', an instrumental version of the doctor
octagon record, with added musicians, and yes, alternate mixes of songs.
(record 3)
Mo Wax Releases '3000' 12" single (single 4) w/ remixes
Mo Wax releases '3000' CD single (CD single 2) no additional tracks
DreamWorks picks up Dr. Octagon for major world distribution.
DreamWorks releases "Dr.Octagon" on CD
DreamWorks releases "Instrumentalyst" on CD
DreamWorks releases "blue flowers" CD single (CD single 3) w/ remixes
There may be a 12" of the "blue flowers" single on dreamworks as well.

that's it as far as i know.
there was a rumor that Dr. Octagon was going to be back, but it was
going to be Sadat X, and that Doctor Octagon was really a demonic
gynecologist spirit that possessed MCs. but i chalk that up to Kool
Keith being legally insane.
new Kool Keith Lp in the works on a major label, possibly ruffhouse.
